Origins

Robert was working with the government to research strange objects they found that had weird effects on people and life in general. He tried them in different areas, but then one day, his brother was in the hospital. So, he spent most of every day in the hospital for a few years. He had the strange cube with him and he researched in his spare time. He noticed the cube connected with certain people... Odd.

After his brother got better, he was in the hospital yet again when his granddaughter Rylee was born. Casey was excited for her little sister as well as interested in the cube Robert was researching. The cube connected with both of his granddaughters, Robert observed... It had been connecting with a lot of children and a few adults halfway. But why?

Not long after, Robert realized the cube was giving powers out. It was purely made of the chemical that gave people powers or abilities. It was yet to have a name, at the time. But some people were given powers halfway so their children would one day. One such person was Ginger.

This mysterious cube was in his possession for so long. It had numerous secrets and other things he didn't even fully understand. The cube gave the owner a few abilities of their own.

Years later, Robert was interrogated and so on for the cube, but he refused to give it to them. But he didn't even have it... He gave it to Julia to keep it safe. Julia was the new protector, but he continued acting like he had it so no one would suspect anything.

Who would've ever known the therapist Julia knew for so long would end up having the cube? He told her numerous secrets about powers, origins, and the details no one else understood - not even Casey or Charles. That's why she quickly agreed to working for Steven. If a need arose, she would expose herself and her knowledge. But until then... She'd settle for assistant, though she often helped Steven beyond answering the phone, scheduling meetings, and handling other things.

Apparently the fact Hudson had powers when he was alive was enough explanation for most of her knowledge.

She was hidden in plain sight with her necklace with lots of little charms, one of which being the power cube.
