After Hudson's accident, Julia was very upset. The flourishing, great mind who made A+'s constantly now stopped applying herself. She stopped progressing. She stopped...caring. It was such an overwelming, overpowering problem that her parents sent her to a therapist. She had obviously been deeply affected by the issue with her brother and her parents were both too extremely busy to help - one with royal duties and the other with business.
And that therapist was none other than Richard Johnson himself.

One of her dad's drivers, Tanner, dropped her and her nanny off and then drove off. Julia frowned as the woman pulled her inside. 9 year old Julia was incredibly nervous... She didn't want to do this. The girl had gotten a bit thinner, but no one seemed to notice. They were always so busy... She sat down as Nala got her checked in.
Julia stared, almost in tears, at the floor, not wanting to be there. Did her parents just have to send her off to a stranger to talk about things she refused to tell anyone else. Losing Hudson had felt like her entire world shattered... Nala sat down beside her and they waited in silence.
Julia's name was called and Nala started to lead her into the rooms, but the nurse stopped her.
"Mr. Johnson gave me specific instructions to only lead Miss Sanders into the room," the nurse explained.
Nala started to argue, but sighed. "Fine. I'll be waiting out here for you, Julia."
She gave her a reassuring smile then walked over to sit down and wait. The nurse turned and walked off. Julia frowned and followed. No Nala...? Why? What if he was going to hurt her?
She began running through things in her head, scared, when she was led into a room. She was offered a lemonade and then the nurse left. She took a sip and then looked around. This looked more like a comfy living room than a therapy room... She relaxed and then the door opened. Robert walked in and sat across from her.
"Hello, Julia," he greeted with a smile.
"H-Hi..." Julia stuttered.
"No need to be afraid," Robert said gently. "I'm here to help."
"I don't want to talk about it," Julia sniffed.
"Talking helps. Having someone to listen, me or your parents, is important in the grieving process," Robert replied.
"Having someone to listen? My parents?" Julia scoffed. "They have more important problems than me. Why do you think I'm here?"
Robert frowned and didn't reply for a moment. "Your file says you saw what happened to Hudson... But I also know that you didn't write this and they're excluding the details. So tell me all about it... I promise if you give me a chance...it won't be so bad."
Julia looked at him for several minutes then sighed. "He died. Someone came after him and I walked in right as he stood. And the man couldn't look me in the eyes then left, leaving the shell of my brother behind..."
"Why would they target your brother?" Robert asked, frowning. "I'm very sorry..."
Julia opened her mouth and then stopped. She then recited, "For the line of succession to shorten most likely or to make a political statement."
"Perfect repetition of what's in your file..." Robert commented, shutting the file and setting it down. "Why did they really? And believe me... Nothing can surprise me. My granddaughter is...unique...after all."
She had heard that word describe her brother once. "She has powers?"
Robert smiled. "So you know about powers... Yes, she does." His smile faded. "Is that why they took out your brother?"
Julia teared up and nodded. "Y-y-yes..."
She began to cry and Robert sighed. Just as he thought... He suddenly noticed she was skinny. Looking at the file again, he realized she had lost weight. He wrote out a treatment plan and advised appointments once a week. Then he looked back at Julia, who was still crying.
"Admitting it feels better, doesn't it? Though I know... It's hard. It hurts. But you will be okay. It will be okay..." Robert reassured.- - -
She continued to visit him and saw improvements within a few months. She was quickly back to her usual, incredibly intelligent self. She continued to see him as the years went by. One day, when she was 14, something was different.
"Julia," Robert began. "I've yet to pass this knowledge on to anyone... But I don't know what's going to happen next. Your visits will have to end soon and I'll be other places. But before I leave... I need to share one of most valuable secrets. It's about powers... And I think you're going to be the one I trust to carry on this secret. The origin of powers. It's more valuable than it sounds and only 4 of us know it. You will be the fifth. Guard it carefully."
Julia's eyes widened, but she nodded. "I understand... Please... Tell me."Robert then took her off somewhere. He then explained a vital secret to powers. The origin... The gamechanger. All he knew. Then, the next day, Robert had moved, leaving Julia - the girl he instructed, saved, and taught - behind. But she'd never forget... She had a new passion. She would work with powers - one way or another.
