Jacob was sitting on the couch while the kids were taking a nap and Aspen was at work. He stood and walked into his and Aspen's room, staring at himself in the mirror. He touched his muscles which had so much unused potential. He had always feared himself and hurting other people. After his rampage...

He sighed, clenching his fist. His power was one of the most dangerous... If he lost focus for even a moment-

He flashbacked to hugging his mom tightly and cringed - even winced - at the memory. That pop... His fear began to rise, thinking about the possibility of it happening again. What if he hurt Aspen? The baby? Sophia?

He plopped into the floor and pulled his knees to his chest, resting his head on them. He just wished his power would go away...

"Now now, Jacob... That's not the way to treat your ability."
Jacob's head snapped towards the voice and he narrowed his eyes. "Who are you and why are you in my house?"
"Down, tiger," Ender chuckled. "I'm Ender and I'm here to help."
Jacob stood, easily towering over him and crossed his arms. "With what exactly?"
"Your powers. You know... Rylee isn't the only expert. Rylee is selfish, keeping power knowledge that could help you to herself. And she's your friend? ...And Charles? He never once offered to help you with control, did he? And Aspen will never understand your struggle - neither will Brandon."
Jacob's heart sank slightly. He was right...
"And you can help?" Jacob asked skeptically.
"Definitely," Ender confirmed with no hesitation. "Next time you're not busy watching your children, call for me and I'll teach you to overcome your fears - unlike your friends and family who have neglected your emotions and fears. Remember that I am the one who offered you help. Not Charles, not Steven, not Rylee... And your wife can't understand, Jacob. No one ever will except me."
With one blink, Ender was gone. Jacob looked around and then sighed slightly at the realization, sitting back down on the couch and staring at the floor. Ender was right... No one had helped him and no one understood. No one understood Jacob Anderson...
And Rylee did know a lot... Why didn't she help him? Why didn't Charles? What value did he have to anyone?

Jacob made up his mind that the next oppurtunity he got, he would contact Ender and get his help.
