"Oh, also, I have powers," Ginger added at the end.
Ray crossed his arms. "I can't believe she tricked us this entire time! I was so stup- ...wait what? You?"
"Surprise," Ginger replied. "This plane is going faster than normal, isn't it?"
Ray slowly nodded. "Yes... I suppose so..."
"I'm boosting it," Ginger explained. "By...manipulating the wind, I can do different things, such as accelerating planes, flying..."
"Wait wait wait... You can fly?!" Ray questioned. "Why didn't you ever tell me about this?!"
"It didn't come up! I only told you because you're here, to be fair... I wouldn't have told you first. Besides, everyone - including you - hated powers. I had to lay low. It was hard dealing with all that alone..."
Ray frowned. "Ginger..."
He started to walk over and hug her but she took a step back. He looked confused.
"I'm married, Ray," Ginger shook her head. "Just... Get ready for landing."
She started to walk towards the cockpit, but he grabbed her arm and spun her around.
"I'm sure it must've been tough... And I know I was a jerk in the past... However, controlling air is pretty cool. I'm sorry I didn't see powers for what they were sooner... I'm sorry I didn't see you for who you are sooner...the most amazing, strong, beautiful woman I've ever known in my life. I messed up so badly... I wish I would've treated you and our kids right in the first place. I wish you were still my wife... I tried to move on, but..." he frowned, sighing. "No one's like you, Ginger Gates."
Ginger teared up slightly then pulled her hand free gently. "That's sweet, Ray... But it's too late for that. I love Neil... He's the husband I always wanted. I know you've changed, but... There's someone else out there for you. It didn't quite work out this time, but... Maybe we can find you a girlfriend. But this ship has sunk... I'm sorry, but it's over. But you still have something out there for Ray 2.0... I'm sure of it. And... I finally... I finally fully forgive you."
Ray's eyes widened. "Really?"
"Really," she confirmed with a small smile. "It feels so much better than holding on to my grudge and sadness..."
"I guess you let it go, huh?" Ray joked.
"That movie still?" Ginger laughed.
"Every time Kari visits, she begs to watch it," Ray replied, also laughing.
"Friends?" Ginger asked.
Ray took a breath and sighed. "Okay... Friends. Now... Let's go get Rex before he-"
"Don't finish that sentence or I'm dropping you next!" Ginger said, plugging her ears with her fingers and running to the exit.
Ray laughed. "Sorry."
He then followed, nearly falling as the plane landed. Ginger extended a hand and caught him, rebalancing him before walking out.
"You go ahead... I'll take the slow person way," Ray said.
"What way do you think I'm taking?" Ginger asked, almost taken aback.
"Flying...?" Ray asked slowly. "Wouldn't that be the quickest way?"
"Well...yeah...but..." Ginger said slowly, unsure about showcasing her power for everyone to see.
"Do it for Rex?" Ray asked.
"Ughhhh, fine!" Ginger groaned, stepping out and then extending her hands, beginning to fly quickly towards where she saw the most damage in the city.
Ray smiled and then hurried off, getting a taxi. Hopefully, Rex would be okay... If not, Ginger was going to rek some people.
