Ginger
Ginger got up at 4 am and quickly got ready. Today was one of her favorite days of the year... Thanksgiving! Every year, no matter how her family felt about her, her entire family wanted Ginger to cook for them. This year, Nina was helping too. It would be the first Thanksgiving with all of the Meadows reunited again in a long time...
Ginger prepared most of the food because she just couldn't help herself. She loved cooking! She had always wanted to become a chef... But with 3 kids, she didn't exactly have time anymore...
Rex yawned and walked downstairs around 6. He loved helping Ginger cook for Thanksgiving! He had always been her helper - ever since he was a baby. He walked over and hugged her.
"Good morning, mommy! Happy thanksgiving!" Rex grinned, hugging her.
Ginger smiled and hugged back. "Good morning, Rex... Happy Thanksgiving."
"Let's get cookin'!" Rex grinned, pulling away.
"Okay, but first... I have a surprise!" Ginger announced with a grin.
"Yay! What is it?! What is it??" Rex asked. "Please let it be a brother!"
Ginger laughed and shook her head. "I...got...us....." she trailed off dramatically.
"What?! What?!" Rex asked excitedly.
"...matching aprons and chef hats! Remember? Like you always wanted?" Ginger asked, smiling as she pulled them out.
Rex grinned and hugged her tightly. "Yay!!! Thanks mommy!!"
Ginger laughed and hugged back. "Of course, buddy. You ready to cook?"
"Yeah!" Rex grinned, putting on his chef hat. "Let's cook!!!"
Ginger helped him put on his apron, then put on her apron and her hat. The two began to cook together, laughing and getting flour all over themselves.- - - - -
AU Ginger
Ginger got up around 7 and got ready. This year, she was going to spend Thanksgiving with her aunt... She got the twins' bottles and put them in their bag before walking in their room to get them up. With a bag on her shoulder, holding two twins in her arm, and carrying a beautifully decorated, two layer cake she made to bring over in her free hand, she walked over to her aunt and uncle's house. She barely managed to ring the doorbell.

Julia
With Ginger and Nina cooking, there wasn't really much left to do. Julia insisted that she helped in some way though, so she was going to bring the salad. She focused very intensely on the salad she was making... Maybe next year, she'd be promoted. What she forgot is that Thanksgiving wasn't about promotions, but instead good food and family...

Charlotte
