OCs 2 - the Sequel

Moving On

"Hailey, I um... Need to talk to you..." Cici said uncomfortably.
"Okay, what's up, mom? Did dad finally call about me spending the weekend with him this month?" Hailey asked, smiling.
"No... He... They... Are having a little girl..." Cici said.
Hailey's eyes widened. "Really? So... She'll be my halfsister! ...but I'm still sorry, mom."
Cici sighed. "The problem is... They moved off to start some new life together with their new daughter..."
"So... Okay... Where are they going?"
"...Somewhere near Coruscant," Cici sighed.
Hailey's eyes widened and she backed away. "That's an awful place to live - ever since the Empire was defeated..."
"I know... That's what I said," Cici sighed. "He...left without warning. No one knows where they are or exactly where they're going... He didn't even say goodbye..."
Hailey frowned. "B-but I thought...dad..."
"It must be that woman he married..." Cici explained. "I'm sorry, Hailey."
Hailey bit her lip. "Okay... Thanks for sharing."
She then walked out and ran for the ship, tears running down her face.
