OCs 2 - the Sequel

Julia's First Day Off

The morning after Steven left, Julia tried to figure out how to be a normal, stay at home wife and mom - at least temporarily.

Julia and Chloe played a board game then they both picked out e-books and read them. Julia read one about being a stay at home parent and Chloe read one about mermaids. They then watched a comedy.

Ender showed up at the ending, joining in the laughter. Chloe's eyes widened and she turned around, jumping in surprise.
Julia sighed and turned to face him. "Ender, what do you want?"
"A new family member, Julia?" He raised an eyebrow then turned to Chloe. "Nice to meet you, Chloe. You'll fit right in with Adelyn," Ender smiled.
Chloe hesitantly smiled back. "Thanks...?"
Ender chuckled. "How are you feeling, Jules?"
Julia shrugged. "Alright, I guess... It's just... Steven wouldn't stay home from work..."
She pouted.
Ender resisted the urge to frown and popped his knuckles. "Want me to knock some sense into him?"
"What?! No, Ender!" Julia huffed. "Relax."
"Okay, okay, sorry... How are you feeling pregnancy-wise?" Ender asked.
"Sick a bit," Julia shrugged. "...Where's Val?"
"What do you mean?" Ender asked innocently.
"I haven't seen her in a while," Julia frowned. "Did you hurt her?"
"Me? That's ridiculous, Julia. Val's just busy. I've checked up on you anyways even though I am too. I guess she figured she doesn't need you, which is incredibly rude. Don't worry though... I'll still check on you," Ender explained.
Julia frowned. "Oh...okay... Well... We have lunch to get. Thanks for checking in I guess...?"
Ender smiled at her and then at Chloe then disappeared.

Chloe started to ask, but Julia shrugged and walked off to the car.
"Let's bring him lunch," Julia said. "I can't be away from him that long..."
Chloe grinned. "Yay!!!"
