Grace quickly ran to get her notebook and said bye to Soren before beginning to sketch/write/etc. ideas. Balloons, a meal, a poem, a present... She went through lots and lots of ideas, not sure what to do for Soren. She wanted it to be special and good enough for him, but she wasn't sure what one person like her could do for such an amazing person.
After lots of thinking, she realized the best thing she could do was write something for him. Maybe after that, she could add something more special to it. But for now, she worked hard brainstorming what she would write him...
A/N: Now I have to come up with something ughhhhhh whyyyy...
Ahem anyway...A meadow full of flowers,
Colorful and bright.
A flower felt like a weed,
And started to fall apart.
But then the sun came through the sky,
Lighting up its life.
Giving it hope and happiness,
Bringing something new and bright.Free falling, falling free,
She had no wings.
But every time he caught her,
And never let her fall.
She wasn't special, or extraordinary...
But he outshone the stars.
Lighting up the world,
Lighting up the day.
Kind to strangers, whether they are cruel or kind,
Kind to her, though she's not sure why.Now the flower feels free again,
Now the flower can be herself again.
She has to shield her eyes when she looks at the sun...
Because he outshines everyone. She takes part of a tree,
To write a simple note.
With so much left in her heart she hasn't spoke.
She can't say thank you enough,
For the amazing kindness he has shown. The flower looks up at the sun,
Nothing standing next to everything.
She likes the sun,
But doesn't want to get crushed.
For how could a sun love a small, plain flower?
It looks down from above on the tiny people,
Holding the key to their world.
Even though he lights it up,
He leaves everyone a shadow.Gorgeous sun, kind sun...of whom flowers are undeserving...
But that doesn't stop the way she feels about the one who shines to make the shadows. She smiled, reading it over and over and making corrections for around an hour before she thought it was ready. She took a deep breath and stood. Here went nothing...or more like everything...
