Ender and Rosalina were dueling intensely. Obrona grumbled, watching and laying down.
"I do this to help you get better, little brother," Rosa said with a smile before kicking him back.
Ender grumbled and threw fire at her. "You're not even trying!"
Rosa chuckled and dodged simply. "And if I did?"
"Then this would be a fair fight!" Ender huffed, stopping.
Rosa smiled. "Oh really? A true Rybrospo warrior doesn't need to use rybrospon to deal damage. You should be powerful and efficient with or without your powers."
Ender gave her a strange look. "Where'd you learn that?"
"Field trip. Now... Take your best shot," Rosalina challenged.
Ender huffed and threw fireballs at her, which she dodged quickly and efficiently.Valentina watched from the window, smiling. She wanted to be like Rosalina one day too... She heard whispers and walked over to Ian's room. She listened quietly as she heard his plan... Val's eyes widened and she opened the door.
"Ian...?" Val asked, frowning.
Ian stopped talking and sighed. "Val, don't worry about it, okay?"
Val slowly backed away, frowning. "You...you..."
"Val, just calm down. It's what I need to do..."
"You're going to sell rybrospon! That's illegal and very dangerous. How could you betray us to the Empire?!" Val shouted at him.
"Val, you need to quiet down. Listen, the Empire will help us reach our full potential. I won't let anyone stand in our way. Are you with me?"
Nate walked in. "What's going on?"
"Nate, Ian betrayed us and is with the empire!" Val cried.
Nate's eyes widened then he looked at Ian. "Is this true...?"
Ian sighed. "Fine.. We can do this the hard way."
Ian narrowed his eyes and teleported over, stabbing Nate before he could be a problem.
Nate gasped in and fell to his knees, holding his wound.
Val screamed. "NATE!"
Rosa thought she heard yelling so she hurried inside.
Ian sighed and turned to her. "Last chance, little sister. Join me. Because if you try to stop me, I'll stop you too."
Val wiped away her tears then narrowed her eyes,. "If you love the empire so much...more than your family...have it your way!"
Val slammed him into a wall as Rosalina ran upstairs and to the end of the hall. She made a portal below his feet and he fell in, yelling, and she closed it back, taking shakey breaths.
Rosa's eyes widened. "VALENTINA, WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
Val jumped. "I...he betrayed us!"
Rosa took a deep breath and began pacing. Ender and also walked in.
"What's wrong?" Ender asked.
"She exiled Ian! That's what's wrong!!" Rosa said exasperatedly.
Val ignored him and ran over to Nate. "Nate!"
"Get away from him! You've done enough!" Rosa yelled, shoving her back telekinetically.
Val's eyes widened and then she frowned, eyes filling with tears. She backed away until she hit the wall, quietly sobbing.
Ender was quiet, walking over and kneeling beside Nate. "Nate...?"
"Hey, Ender..." Nate said, wincing.
"Hang in there, buddy. Healing should kick in any second now," Ender said with a frown.
Rosalina shook her head. "No... It must have been poisoned when he was stabbed... Rybrospon can't interact with his cells at all... He's going to die and there's nothing that can be done in time..."
Their father walked out to hear this and frowned, hurrying over and kneeling beside Nate.
Nate grabbed Ender's hand, wincing. "Hey Ender?"
Ender sniffed. "Yeah, buddy?"
"Live a life of adventure for me, okay? I just regret...not doing...more..."
His eyes shut and he became still. His father just frowned and lowered his head. Rosa frowned, lowering her head. Ender's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Why?" Rosa yelled, standing and turning to Val. "Were you just angry and stupid? Why did you get rid of both of them?! What did they do to you, Valentina?!"
Val just continued sobbing, lowering her head. "I-I didn't...h-hurt...N-n-nate..."
Rosa's eyes widened. "B-but I thought...Val, I-"
Val, still crying, teleported away.
"We'll miss him..." his father said, frowning.
"What are you talking about? We can save him!" Ender said, looking at him.
"You don't mean... Ender..." Rosa said.
"No one is willing to do it except me?! He's our brother! He's your son!"
Ender glared and then reached his hand out. Nate's body slowly disappeared, absorbing his essence into Ender.
Suddenly, they gasped in a breath.
"Nate...?" Rosa asked quietly.
Nate's eyes widened then frowned, giving control to Ender.
"Great job, Rosa. Wanna ruin any other relationships while you're at it?" Ender scowled, crossing his arms. "Nate would've done this for you two. Any of us. Because we're family. Maybe, Rosa, you should start acting like the master you're supposed to become."
Ender then teleported away.
Rosa's eyes widened. "I-I..."
She lowered her head and went to her room. Their father stood and slowly walked back into his office, processing what just happened.- - - - -
Present time...
Ian tore a hole in the air to make a portal, breathing heavily from the exerted energy it took. "She will pay... It's taken me 500 years, but she will pay."
He stepped through the portal. On the way, he tore his confiscated crystal of rybrospon back from the portal, putting it on and heading towards Val and to be reunited with his twin sister as well as his hot headed little brother, Ender.
