Celeste teleported to the planet he had fled to with ease. She narrowed her eyes at Ian, who had left a city decimated and had his back to her.
"Is this what you do, Ian? Is this who you are? Is this the monster you've become that Val exiled?!" Celeste demanded.
Ian turned to face her. "Yes, it is. Are you going to stop me?"
"I think we both know the answer to that... But I'll give you a chance to surrender, since you're my brother. Do the right thing, Ian."
Ian scoffed. "The 'right' thing? These cities have you believeing they're full of good people, don't they? You think this city is innocent?"
Celeste sighed, shaking her head. "No, of course not. It's the capital city of the empire. But that judgment... Isn't our own. The people here are descendants of the ones who caused us to have to leave our beautiful Rybrospo. They're the ones who supported the raid on earth... But we have no right to pass judgment on all of them without any provocation!" Celeste glared at him, her eyes becoming galaxy. "Do you think the children were guilty? Do you think the mothers were? The fathers? The teenagers? Some of them, maybe! But I've lived for over 500 years and I can tell you... revenge never works! It only causes the problem to be worse! Why did you kill Nate?! Why did you release Valentina's true form? Why do you think hurting people is the answer? Even an innocent earth girl you could've possibly murdered because you didn't give her air! Why is this okay to you? Do you not understand the value of human life?! Do you not remember when our mother died? When will you people realize that hurting and killing and riches and victories will never make you happy! Love is what makes us happy. So, stop with all of your plots and evil and learn how to love, Ian! Love your family, friends... It isn't too late for you!"
Ian looked at her and then turned away. "Yes it is."
"No, it isn't! Just come back to me," Celeste pleaded.
Ian turned, narrowing his eyes. "I can never come back to you! You can never forgive what I've done! You will just turn on me!"
Celeste's eyes widened then softened. "Ian..." She slowly walked over and pulled him into a hug. "I could never stay mad at you..."
Ian's eyes widened and he pushed her away. "Why? How...no! It isn't right! How do you not hate me?!"
He turned away and fell to his knees, beginning to sob. Celeste frowned and kneeled beside him, hugging him closely. Ian just clung to her, sobbing.
"Just...send me away to mother... I just want...mother..." Ian said.
"What?! Ian, no! Stay with me..." Celeste pleaded.
Ian just chuckled. "No... It's time I let go... Tell them I'm sorry...and...goodbye..."
He then tore off his crystal and smashed it, passing out.
"Ian...IAN!" Celeste screamed. "NO!"
She hugged him tightly, sobbing. The survivors of Ian's attack slowly poked their heads out, watching the scene before them. Some held loved ones who had died, sobbing. Some lied down, injured and wincing. His crystal darkened before restoring the city he destroyed with the last of its power. Celeste sobbed for a while before shakily standing. She sniffed and then turned to the city, closing her eyes and creating a healing sphere over the entire city for everyone who was still alive. With that, she looked at Ian one last time sadly before teleporting away.
