Casey woke up the next day and groaned. "Ughhh..."
"You okay?" Rylee asked.
Casey jumped. "AHHH! When did you get here? How did you get in here? How are you even sitting up?"
Rylee smiled. "Weeell... I used the lessons I learned in solitary. I directed all my focus then I managed to exhaust my power cells, I assume. I was out for around an hour but now I'm almost entirely fine. I can't feel my healing at all though and my mind reading is...distant. I assume it'll come back in a while. The healing, however, will probably take a while."
Casey blinked. "I had no idea you were so powerful..."
"I would prefer wise, not powerful. It's more accurate," Rylee corrected.
"Rylee, how much do you know about powers?" Casey asked, amazed at her sister's knowledge.
Rylee shrugged. "It's hard to say. I feel like I know a good amount about them though. Want to see the book?"
Casey nodded immediately. "Yes please. I love a good book."
Rylee pulled a small notebook out of her pocket and unlocked it with a key around her neck, handing it to her. "There you go."
Casey began reading, fascinated with Rylee's research and observations. Rylee just sat there, not sure what else to do.

A hour or so later, Casey finished. "Wow... Rylee... I don't know if you realize this, but you've taught me things I never knew... You have to show this to Charles!"
Rylee took it back and shut it again. "Um... No thanks. It's on a need to know basis. If you want to know something, just ask. Also, it's a work in progress."
Casey sighed. "Awww... So I can't have a copy?"
"Nope," Rylee shook her head. "It keeps me involved and it's still a work in progress. Now... I'm going on a walk."
Casey crossed her arms. "Rylee, earlier today you could hardly stand... I don't think so."
Rylee sighed. "You can come with me?"
Casey groaned with annoyance. "Do I have toooo?"
"I can just go lie down for 10 more days..." Rylee frowned.
"Ughhh. How can I say no to that face?" Casey sighed. "Okay. Fine... Let's go. But if you get tired, we're going home."
Rylee squeled. "Yay!!! Let's go!"
She pulled Casey out weakly, while Casey followed, pretending to be dragged along.
