"She was there Mum! She was there with me!' Will continued to explain what happened on the field, tears running down his cheeks.
It seemed like Will cried a lot through the past year.
"Who? Who was there?" Joyce's eyebrows were furrowed and she stumbled over her words.
"Y/N! She was there, and she was curled up in a corner, and screaming my name," at the mention of her son's girlfriend, Joyce's hand covered her mouth, shocked that Y/N was still alive, "I tried to get to her. I tried to protect her."
"But it got me, Mum," Will was in sobs by now, "I felt it everywhere," Will's sobs made his speech a whisper, "everywhere."
Joyce glanced down at the monster sketch from the tv.
"I just want this to be over," Will was pulled into his mother's embrace, "I want Y/N home."
