The first words Y/N heard once answering a phone call from an unknown number. She knew who it was from though and who was speaking on the other end. Her boyfriend that goes MIA.
"Peter," she let out a sigh of relief, just happy to know he's safe, "where are you?"
"...the Stark internship..." it sounded like a lie. He had lied so much in the past year. Why continue?
"I know that's not the real reason Peter. What's going on?"
There was quiet on the other line, along with another sigh from his lips.
"I wanna tell you in person baby-"
"Then come home," the sadness rose in her throat, tears brimming her eyes, Peter automatically felt guilty, "Please Peter...just come home."
"I will. Soon," he wish he never had those stupid superpowers. He wish he was just a normal kid again, "I love you so much, you have no idea."
"I love you too."
He hated lying to her. But team Iron Man needed him.
