Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

One kiss sealed the fate for Carlisle Cullen and Quinn O'Connell because they knew then that all their thoughts and feelings had been absolutely correct. This was meant to be. Carlisle was over the moon to have finally found the love he had searched three hundred years for. The kind of love that he had seen Rosalie find with Emmett, Jasper with Alice and shortly, he hoped, Edward with Isabella. It was the kind of love that made all the negatives of immortality seem worthwhile.
It was midnight by the time Quinn finally returned to her bedroom, finding Edward laying casually on her bed with a smirk, whistling to himself but she could see the tenseness in his eyes. Something was clearly wrong. Quinn wandered over, pulling the covers up and finding that she couldn't move them very far due to the vampire on her bed. Sighing and resigned to her small amount of blanket, she lay down and dropped it on top of her.
"What's wrong Edward?" she turned to him, uncaring that he was on her bed in the room that smelt so strongly of peaches. His arm was bent backwards beneath his head and he sighed at the question.
"You weren't the only one that got some answers today Quinn" he breathed out heavily and she frowned, urging him to continue. "I told Bella... Everything."
"And? How did she take it?" Quinn perked up at the news and he sighed.
"Better than expected... She wasn't even slightly scared and I don't get it. I know that you don't see us as monsters because of the monster you've already met.. But her, she has only ever known happiness... so, why is she not afraid of me?"
"I don't know Edward. Maybe you're losing your edge" she smiled, clearly happy and he merely chuckled.
"You're lucky Carlisle likes me, or maybe he'd tear my head off for being in your bed" Edward winked in return and she merely laughed again. "You're weird when you're asleep"
"Oh, charming,"
"No, no, your dreams. They're... beautiful. I haven't dreamt for the longest time, so seeing snippets of your dreams is like entertainment to me."
"I forgot you could invade my head" she scoffed and flopped to stare at the ceiling. "I don't know how this came to be my life... But it's been brilliant so far. If you'd have told me a month ago that Edward Cullen would be in my bed, I'd have told them they were being stupid" she teased and he chuckled.
"You love it really" she merely hummed.
"Do you plan on bringing Bella here?"
"Yes, on Saturday." he was back to being tense again.
"Don't be so worried Edward, they have practise on how to behave with humans now" she smiled and he just rolled his eyes at her.
"Not everyone in this family is as accepting as they were with you Quinn. Rosalie hates the idea of Bella joining our family, she doesn't trust her. I think it has something to do with Bella's future. Rosalie doesn't want Bella's future ruined like hers was. She has Emmett now, and is happy. But Rosalie will always dream of having grown old with him, marrying him and having children, passing peacefully in old age. She doesn't want Bella to miss out on any of that stuff. But for you, saving you and bringing you here was actually improving your future."
"I know Edward. You don't have to explain it to me. I am sure that eventually Rosalie will see that it is all Bella's decision to make. She is special Edward, I hope you know that. Maybe, she doesn't have the same dreams as Rosalie." Quinn smiled and he nodded before they lapsed into silence once more. It had become a mutual agreement throughout the house that Quinn O'Connell was not going to go to school the next day. Maybe they were bad examples in that sense but she had a very solid excuse with a doctors note.
When Quinn opened her eyes to see brightness, she cursed herself because she hadn't even realised that she had fallen asleep. Stretching and pulling the blankets close to her with a groan, she swivelled to stare out the large window at the forest beyond. The Cullen house was in such a beautiful location.
"Are you planning on staying in bed all day?" he was smirking, it was clear from the tone of his voice and the expression didn't suit him. Turning to face a teasing Carlisle in the doorway, she sent him a little glare and he chuckled.
"Depends... Care to join me?" she smiled and he walked forward, sitting carefully on the edge of the mattress and allowing her to grab his hand with her warm one. "Do you have work today?"
"Not today" he smiled and she grinned before pulling him with all her strength and he still didn't budge. He just laughed at her for a while before kicking off his shoes and swivelling to lie beside her, staring up at the ceiling. Cutely, Quinn tucked the comforter up around him, moving his arm to where she wanted it so she could cuddle up against his chest and he merely smiled as he let her make him her puppet. When she was comfortable, cuddled into his shirt clad body, he relaxed. It felt so normal, being close to her, despite it all being so new and to Quinn, she wasn't at all scared of him, she trusted him with all her heart and it warmed her despite how chilly he was.
"I haven't lay in a bed in...hmm, two hundred years" he chuckled and she frowned at him, playing with his hands.
"If I was a vampire, I'd still go to bed every night, and just pretend to sleep," she beamed and he scoffed in a low chuckle, his hand brushing her hair out of her eyes.
"Is this what you want? Vampirism?" he frowned.
"To be with you forever?... It sounds like a worthwhile trade to me Carlisle. I could never have a normal, human life anyway."
