Quinn sighed softly to herself as she shifted her expensive coat around her, Edward stood at her side with an expression of stone but his arm in the loop of her own calmed the newborn. Edward Cullen had been the one to deliver her to her new life, he was the one that had been at her side all along and he would be there as she ended her human life for the final time. It was time to let it all go and as they entered a cafe in Seattle- she felt determined.

"Quinny" the brunette at a table in the corner greeted, standing happily and assessing her and her friend with wide eyes. Gabriella Hargreaves hadn't seen her 'big sister' in over two years and the sight of her now was shocking. Quinn was the most beautiful person Gabby had ever laid eyes on, though she couldn't remember having thought the same thing the last time they met. The man on Quinn's arm was equally as handsome though his face was serious. "Damn, puberty did you good."

"Hello, Gabby" the blonde returned softly as she and Edward took a seat opposite where the brunette sat with her pretty smile. Though her eyes were something Quinn O'Connell would rather not see, they were his eyes and the mere sight of them made her feel sick- which was no minor thing seeing as though she was an immortal vampire now. "This is Edward"

"Oh, so we're all business today, great" the brunette human clipped but the sight of the beautiful people's expressions made her cough awkwardly as she pulled some paperwork from her expensive bag and slid it along the table to her. Quinn took the folder with her painted nails and she froze for a second, thinking. "All you have to do is sign on the dotted line and you'll never have to hear from me again."

"Gabby" Quinn started, thinking through each word. "I hope you know... I am doing this for you. I think your father deserves everything that he gets, you are not supposed to speak ill of the dead and I wouldn't wish death upon anyone but your father... He was a monster. Whatever the media says about him, he deserves. I am doing this for you, do you can grow up and have a future, so you have money to go to college and start again. This case could drain the Hargreaves estate of all they have. Your father had a different woman waltzing through the door every day, he is the reason why my mother is dead." she informed, her voice becoming more and more serious with every word and Edward placed his hand on her shoulder to calm her.

"What I am trying to say" Quinn reiterated. "That even if I don't allow my evidence to be used... They will have more than enough to crush him. You're fighting a losing battle Gabby but you shouldn't have to. You shouldn't be involved in any of this. I am sorry, that your dad isn't the man you thought he was."

"It--It doesn't matter. I have to do this Quinny. My name--I am a Hargreaves and everyone knows it. I didn't choose this life but I have it and I have to do my best with it" it was the most grown-up thing Gabby had ever said to her and it made Quinn smile slightly as she effortlessly signed the paperwork handed to her. "This is yours" Gabby coughed and gave her a thick envelope. "I wouldn't look at it here... It's-- all the pictures and videos my father took, the final copies. Do whatever you want with them Quinn... I'm sorry."

"Gabby, none of this is your fault. Okay? And... I want you to know that... You're still my sister, I always saw you as my little sister, even though you were as annoying as hell, even with what your dad did" Quinn smiled, softening the conversation and Gabby smiled softly in return, eyes welling slightly and Quinn couldn't imagine how she felt in that moment, knowing what her father did.

"You are my big sister, Quinn" Gabby shrugged. "Even if I haven't seen you in two years. Every time I would come to visit him, the thought that you would be there made it seem worth it. And your mother... I'm so sorry about your mother. Elizabeth was a beautiful person. I wish you could've been saved from it all, and that you could have come and lived with me and my mom. I know that it is too late now, to say sorry. But, I just need you to know that I am. I'm sorry for everything."

"It was never your fault, Gabby" she smiled reassuringly and that was it, the long-awaited moment was finally over and the two sisters hugged- the daughter of the monster and the victim of the monster. It wasn't much later that Edward and Quinn left together, heading to her car which was parked a little way away.

Edward hadn't spoken the entire time they sat in the cafe but as she started to drive, he could see how much calmer she was now that it was over.

"I'm sorry that you got dragged into this Edward, I know I could've brought anyone else but... You were the first person I ever told, you were there all along, it just felt right to end it together" she did her best to explain as the two of them drove calmly through Seattle. And he smiled.

"Thank you, for always confiding in me, Quinn. I will always be here for you."

"And I you... You're my best friend, Edward"

"And you're mine"
