Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

Carlisle and Quinn looked like an advertisement for raincoats as they stood side-by-side in the airport, dressed impeccably but within their minds, they were not as calm as their exteriors would indicate. Rosalie had confided in Quinn that Bella wanted to keep whatever was growing inside of her- it had the family incredibly divided and Quinn could see for certain that Carlisle was stressed as he spun her engagement ring around her finger nervously.
The second Edward and Bella came into view, the two of them perked up, knowing that they were at least one step closer to solving the situation. Edward spoke no words as he joined them, accepting the coat that Quinn offered him though he said nothing as he and the doctor stared deeply at one another, meaningfully.
"Bella" Quinn smiled, seeing the stress and anxiety in her eyes as she approached. "You have a beautiful tan. I almost didn't recognise you" she spoke sweetly and Bella couldn't help but relax slightly as Quinn helped her to pull a raincoat on over her clothing. "It's chilly outside."
"How are you feeling Bella?" Carlisle questioned, voice smooth as ever as he took the handle of one of the suitcases and their procession began to quickly move through the airport, Quinn's hand on Bellas back being leverage to encourage her to walk faster. As Carlisle took over in asking Bella questions, the newer vampire fell into step with her best friend who looked at her with deep wells of agony for eyes.
"How are you feeling Edward?" she asked him the same question that Carlisle had previously asked Bella though the blonde girl's voice was so incredibly low that only Edward managed to catch it- Carlisle being preoccupied with question after question as they entered the battering rain.
"I can't lose her, Quinn"
"We're going to do everything we can to make sure that that doesn't happen, Edward" Quinn assured, patting his arm gently and Edward couldn't help but relax slightly under her shimmering topaz eyes. They had always had that effect on one another and as they entered the car, Quinn took to driving to clear her head somewhat, Carlisle speaking quickly as always, playing the perfect doctor.
"We will get you home as fast as possible and do some tests on you, see what we can find out. I am certain we will be able to successfully remove the embryo without doing much damage though we shall have to do so quickly, it does not seem to grow at an ordinary rate." Carlisle's voice soothed Quinn despite the nature of what he was saying as she easily drove at double the speed limit, irrespective of the hammering rain.
"And... What if-- What if I don't want to remove it?" Bella questioned nervously, biting her lip and refusing to turn her gaze to face her husband even as Edward turned to her with horror-filled eyes. Carlisle and Quinn exchanged a gentle look before the doctor turned in his seat to meet eyes with the human.
"Rosalie has informed us of your wishes. And if that is what the two of you choose... I will try my very best to aid you in any possible way. Again, I must do tests first regardless." he spoke gently before turning back to face the front and Quinn could feel that he was stressed even as he tried to remain calm and she easily took his hand, pulling it across into her lap as she drove and he smiled tensely as Edward finally rounded on Bella about the situation at hand.
"You want to keep it?"
"Edward" Bella tried before pausing to take a breath as she turned to him and the couple in the front distracted themselves by looking out the windows and doing their best not to listen in though the conversation happened right behind them. "It's just a baby... It's our baby"
"It's a monster Bella, It's abnormal" he demanded, looking over at the two in the front for help and Quinn sighed as she aided him finally.
"Bella" her voice was as smooth as satin and instantly calmed the tense pair. "What Edward is trying to say is that he is concerned for your well being. We do not know anything about this, in fact, we were unaware that it was even possible until it happened. Alice is unable to see your future, for reasons unknown the child is blocking her. This baby could kill you, Bella, Vampires are so strong that if Edward held your hand with even quarter of the strength that I held Carlisle's with- he would shatter your fingers" she used the same analogy as Rosalie had not too long ago though the older blonde vampire had now switched sides in the argument. "Assuming that that child is half-vampire- We don't know what damage it can do Bella."
"But it's-- It's just a baby, Quinn. I can feel it inside me, alive. I can't... I can't let you take it away from me Quinn. I can't. It's half Edward and half of me... How can that be bad?" she stuttered along in her bid to express her point and Edward looked utterly horrified as he ran a hand over his face. If Quinn didn't know him better, she would think that he was close to breaking out in sobs right then and there.
"Like I said before, Bella. We will run some tests and try to find out as much as we can about the situation before we make any decisions. Please just try to relax" Carlisle cut back in as Quinn drove impossibly faster. They were in for a long drive home, even if she sped as fast as her car would allow.
