Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

Quinn giggled as Carlisle span her around sweetly, the two of them walking alongside their family back toward their house, when he pulled her back into his chest, he pressed a kiss softly on her forehead and her eyes fluttered closed like butterflies wings, her arms circling his waist eagerly, ringed hand landing on the front of his thick knitted jumper. Everything was utterly perfect and when they all hopped up the stairs together, there were only smiles on their faces.
"Happy Birthday" Alice sang to Bella as they all finally crowded into the room and Bella had a raised eyebrow of slight confusion.
"I stopped ageing three days ago" she reminded and they all sighed.
"Well, we're celebrating anyway." It was exactly the response they expected from the little seer who was more than excited about the celebration. "So suck it up." and she handed her a key, dragging Bella along easily from the house and into the woods once more.
"Enjoy" Quinn smiled pleasantly to Bella as they crossed paths and Bella frowned, instantly suspicious though she nodded, entering the darkness.
"Come on love, Rose and Emmett are on babysitting duty" Carlisle encouraged, taking his fiance's hand now that all the drama was over for the day and Emmett sighed, throwing his head back with a groan.
"I feel like I've had a child" he moaned and Esme patted his head as she and Jack made their leave.
"You win the best uncle award?" Quinn offered.
"A title I am more than happy to sacrifice" Jasper winked and he flashed away to go and wait for Alice's return. The room cleared quickly after that and Carlisle and Quinn soon found themselves back in their shared bedroom once more. The two of them felt as though- despite spending every available moment together- they hadn't seen one another very much recently, Carlisle had been trying to get his hours at work back up after all the time he spent off due to Bella's 'condition'.
The door seemed to close excruciatingly slowly that day as he kicked it lazily shut and Quinn watched him with her careful golden gaze, curious to see what he would do. Carlisle snapped his gaze upwards and smirked at her when he caught her staring- an expression she could never quite get used to seeing on his face. He was across the room in a second and she squealed out a laugh when he grabbed her, lifting her so she had no choice but to wrap her legs around his waist as he slammed their lips wondrously against one another.
Placing her easily on the desk, Carlisle kissed her with all the passion he could muster, making the matching temperature of their bodies feel like a searing burning fire of connection. As he kissed her deeply- it felt completely normal, as if their lips together was how it was always intended to be. And he couldn't help but wonder how he'd survived without her for all that time.

Quinn sighed as she lounged carefully, shrouded in the silky grey sheets. The blonde girl felt completely comfortable lying naked beside her partner and her chin rested on her hand on his chest as he drew patterns aimlessly on her back with one hand. The two of them were just lying there, thinking but no words needed to be said to occupy the empty space of the silence. They were comfortable.
"You're beautiful" he informed lowly, looking deeply into the swirling gold of her eyes and briefly, Carlisle missed the powdery Mediterranean blue that her eyes had once been. But the longer he thought about it, the more he fell in love with the gold. Quinn had found herself since becoming a vampire, and it was beautiful to see the way she loved herself now.
"Thank you" she smiled shyly, eyes falling from his gaze to land on her own hand against his chest. And Carlisle hummed thoughtfully, taking her chin gently and pulling it upwards smoothly to look at him once more, fingers caressing her cheek.
"Beautiful" he informed again and pressed a kiss straight on the end of her nose, making her giggle and scrunch her nose up.
"Will you read to me?" she asked softly and Carlisle hummed in smooth contemplation before awkwardly pulling a book from the bedside table with his free arm. Placing her head against his clavicle, her eyes fluttered closed in content as he began to read, his arms circling in a cage around her to hold the book easily. It didn't matter what Carlisle read to her- she would always absolutely love it. Carlisle's voice was like silk and it calmed her more than even Jaspers powers ever could.
The doctor loved nothing more than holding her sweetly there in his arms, reading to her or merely staring at her. To Carlisle Cullen- Quinn O'Connell was a work of art and that was something that he would never tire of. Quinn was a breath of fresh air to him and she felt the absolute same way.
The Cullen coven had found their new normal once more and it was beautiful.
