Quinn O'Connell laughed as she followed Carlisle Cullen through the luscious green vegetation that covered much of the island. It had been a week and the two of them were having as much fun as they had on the very first day, they were not at all prepared to go home though they knew that inevitably, they must. Her arm was wrapped around his waist and she couldn't help but giggle when she saw the red bucket hat plopped on his head as they explored the forest together, his golden eyes analysing the trees as if they were the most interesting things he'd ever laid eyes on.

When Quinn laughed, Carlisle looked down at her with a raised eyebrow before chuckling along too when he saw her bright smile. Carlisle and Quinn had found something irreplaceable with one another and luckily for them, they were immortal so they would never have to say goodbye to what they had. Quinn and Carlisle had forever to love one another and they could visit the island every year for the rest of forever if that was what they chose. It was exhilarating.

The sun beat down on them and they were both mutually glad that they couldn't feel it's glaring intensity though it did cause their skin to glitter like a shoulder tiny crystals. The trip to the island was what they needed the most- time together. Of course, they were sure they'd eventually grow to miss their family but for now, they were overjoyed with the entire experience.

"When Bella becomes a vampire after the wedding, will we finally be going to the new house in Oregon?" Quinn questioned teasingly and Carlisle chuckled. "Esme has gotten carried away with herself in her boredom, the new house is now having a guest house built and if we don't act soon- I'm sure we'll have a swimming pool and stables" the blonde giggled and the doctor grinned.

"Designing things is what Esme enjoys doing the most. Since I've known her, she's always been the same. It gives her a purpose which is something that we all need in life. Plus, she does make beautiful houses," he smiled and she grinned and giggled gently.

"I wonder what my hobby will be" she frowned. "Edward has his piano, Alice has her shopping, Rosalie is always working on the cars, Emmett and Jasper have their games, you have your books..."

"And you have your writing" Carlisle prompted. "If writing all your thoughts and feelings is the thing that makes you happy, then that is what you should do. I myself am quite enjoying the new reading material, now that I have gotten to the good part of course."

"The good part being...?"

"Amsterdam" he grinned and she grinned back, Amsterdam would forever where their happiness had started, where their forever began. It was the place where Carlisle first showed her how miraculous the vampire life could be. And it was in Amsterdam, hand in hand with Carlisle that Quinn had fallen in love with being a vampire. "You're such a good writer, Quinn." he mused and she smiled, accepting the compliment shyly.

"I am glad you like it" she returned and he chuckled. "Did you hear the news?"

"News?"

"Jack proposed" Quinn returned and Carlisle shot his head to look over at her in shock at her words.

"How did I not know that?" he laughed. "Esme is my best friend and I am still the last to know." he shook his head but was chuckling to indicate that he wasn't actually upset.

"They've agreed on a long engagement, they said that there's no need to rush" Quinn informed him gently as they continued to walk side by side, the man helping her to step over a log gently. "They are of the same opinion as us" she grinned. "Of course, Bella and Edward are a whole different ballpark"

"Yes. Edward wanted to get married first as a sign of his love for her, I believe" Carlisle frowned and Quinn hummed along in agreement. "To prove that he loves her human or vampire... Plus, Bella did have other... Conditions" he smirked and she blinked at him.

"What?" she laughed analysing the expression that didn't sit right on his face. Carlisle didn't smirk often but she couldn't help but laugh each and every time that he did.

"I believe she would like to... Make love to him before she turns" Carlisle posed it in such an awkward way that Quinn couldn't help but giggle along and he sent her a side-eye at her immaturity though it was something he loved about her. It made him feel so young.

"Oh no, they're going to shag in our bed?" Quinn demanded in horror though he could see the joking sparkle in her eye when she said it. Edward and Bella would be coming to the island for their honeymoon in a few weeks time, a gracious wedding gift to them from Quinn and Carlisle. "I think we should leave them a present"

"Oh yeah?" he laughed. "What would you suggest?"

"A canvas with our faces on it over the bed" she grinned and he rolled his eyes as he laughed, bumping his shoulder with hers as they walked.

"We'll have to take some photos of you then." he grinned and she frowned as he suddenly whipped a camera out of his bag. "We have to preserve the memories."

"Of course because our idetic memories aren't good enough for that" she giggled and he chuckled as he started to randomly take pictures of her and other things. The blonde girl giggled as she struck a number of poses teasingly, even going as far as to swipe his hat- which he only grinned at. They were happier than they'd ever been.
