Quinn O'Connell hummed softly, her brilliant golden eyes scanning over the wall she was painting a perfect periwinkle, she was having the summer of her life and she could safely say that she had never been so happy before, immortality or not. Behind her, painting carefully as if he was an artist working on his most important piece, was Carlisle Cullen, a light smile on his cheeks as he brushed over the wall. There was something so beautiful about designing your own home, since meeting Esme, she had spent her life devoted into designing their next home and he had been okay with it, occupied by his own work at the hospital but lovingly crafting the cottage with Quinn over the past few weeks had brought him a different level of happiness.
"Carlisle?" the sound of his name on his angel's tongue had him turning to her quickly. Quinn had grown into immortality so wonderfully, better than anyone had ever expected. In only a few weeks, she lived happily side-by-side with the humans, drinking animal blood and effectively acting completely human. It was everything he had ever wanted for her and more and as she smiled from beneath her brilliant dark blonde hair, he couldn't help but return it.
His entire life, Carlisle Cullen had been searching for his forever love and here she was, smiling in front of him. He couldn't be happier and the Cullens all equally loved her, she slid right into their dynamic easily.
"Am I enough for you?" the question caught him off guard from where he was painting and he dropped the brush easily onto the tray as he headed toward her in a second, taking her cheeks softly as he looked deeply into her eyes, searching for where the question could possibly have come from.
"Of course you are, why wouldn't you be?" she stared down now and the way her eyes scrunched up slightly, he knew she would be blushing if she could.
"I know that we aren't like most couples. I know that I can't give you all of me, not yet. This is all I have given you" she informed, reaching up to take his hands softly and he couldn't help but frown.
"Quinn, I would wait an eternity for you. Of course, you are absolutely irresistible to me but I would never pressure you into doing something you're not ready for. You escaped that horrible life only a few months ago. Having you, in my life as a companion, that's enough Quinn. You are more than enough." he informed her passionately and her fingers traced over his hands, there was clearly something still on her mind but she was too shy to say. "Quinn, you can talk to me about anything," he stated softly.
"Well," she glared at the floor, wishing for a moment that he was the mind reader. "If-- If you did want more..."
"Quinn" he tried to cut her off but she shook her head, quieting him.
"Just because I'm afraid of you giving me more, doesn't mean that I can't give you more," she stated, hoping he would get the point but he remained staring at her in confusion.
"I don't-" she just cut him off by slamming her lips to his without a word. Despite his confusion, Carlisle didn't refuse as she continued to kiss him passionately. Only when it went on longer than usual, did his eyes flash open.
"Quinn"
"Carlisle, just... shh okay. I've thought about this and I know what I want to do. If you don't want me, then just say" she spoke quickly, her golden eyes staring intently into his and he could see the great emotion swirling in them.
"Of course I want you, how could I not? I just don't want you to do something you're not ready for." he persuaded further and she just scoffed. In under a second, he found himself slammed into the unpainted wall, she reduced the force as an afterthought before impact, not wanting to utterly obliterate their new house. In a second, her lips were on his and he couldn't help but groan out slightly, clearly to her pleasure as she held his wrists easily against the wall. Quinn may have been weaker than some newborns, but she was stronger than Carlisle even if all he wanted to do was run his fingers through her hair. Releasing him for a second, she gripped the top of his shirt and he gasped out as she pulled it easily apart, buttons scattering around the periwinkle room as she grinned in victory.
That was when her movements slowed slightly as she looked at his body. Carlisle was the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on and she trailed her fingers softly down his body, stopping at his belt and then trailing back up again.
"Quinn?" he spoke so gently, his fingers reaching up to her cheeks now that she had released him and she smiled softly under his touch, allowing their lips to reconnect. "You are more than enough for me, my love."
"I love you Carlisle" she promised sincerely and he couldn't help but grin as her lips kissed his, moving softly along his jaw and then down his neck. Unconsciously, he couldn't help but moan at her movements, she was like an angel and every touch of hers was mesmerising to him. Her lips on his body was all the pleasure he needed.
