Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

It was impossible to describe the pain she felt at seeing him standing there, it was as if all the happiness she had felt over the past months were wiped away completely and she was left with nothing but darkness. The second his red eyes fell upon her, the bright and joking Quinn O'Connell was gone, as if she never even existed and back was the timid girl who'd sob herself to sleep every night with her hand tightly held her over lips to stop the housemaids from hearing. It was as if finally, she had awoken from the dream she'd experienced with the Cullens and the nightmare of true life could finally take over again.
"You"
"Me" he smirked so smugly that it had her gaze casting downwards to the ground and Bella gaped, horrified by how submissive Quinn O'Connell was in the face of the monster. Bella had never seen someone look so broken and despite how terrified she was in that moment, a piece of her heart went out to the girl who looked ready to break down on the spot. "You should know by now, Quinny. I always win. And my, hasn't it been a brilliant game this time. James thought he could defeat me but of course he could not. He saw my potential and he unleashed it. When you and your... friends, destroyed him, I couldn't care less but then you killed Laurent and darling Victoria and my coven is obliterated so, I am back to reclaim my family. Meaning... you,"
"No" it was a simple word and even as she said it, Quinn knew it meant little to nothing to the man. Finding the strength the Cullens had built in her over the past year and a half, Quinn gently pushed the human behind her to safety though Jensen had his devilish eyes pinned on Quinn regardless.
"You know that that isn't how this game works, my Quinny. Or need I remind you? You see your sweet friends around you? They are trapped by me. I am stronger now than I was even as a human. I am strong enough to turn your precious family into living statues so do as I say or they will remain that way. You realise-" he stood and made his way down the steps and the girls shuffled away as he approached. "They can see and hear you still, Quinny. I can take you here, right in front of your human and they'll have to watch the whole thing with no way of interfering" he smiled victoriously.
Quinn felt so small compared to him as he stared down at her with an intense gaze and she was frozen, looking up at him where he stood only inches away. It was all of her worst nightmares come to life. The Cullens were gone and he was back. But Quinn was stronger now and she knew this game well, she had lived this game for years. She had the upper hand because she had a skill he didn't know about but in true Jensen fashion- he did not meet her gaze. The mayor had never considered Quinn O'Connell worthy of having his eyes meeting hers.
Reaching up, he made to touch her face and she flinched, which made him smirk as he finally grabbed her chin and Bella opened her mouth, silenced by Quinn's hand raised to her.
"You know this game Quinny. You love this game." He grinned. "It shall be you and I from now on. But first, we must play. It's time to start the game." He encouraged in a sadistic fashion and Bella didn't have a clue what was happening as she retreated to stand behind the statue that was Edward Cullen.
"What game?" Her voice was deadpan because she knew how much was at stake and she had to play her part well. Jensen Hargreaves had turned Quinn O'Connell into the most brilliant actress- he just didn't know it yet. And Quinn would act as the perfect weak girl if it brought the Cullens back to her and kept Bella safe.
"Oh Quinny. My sweet love" he grinned, flipping her around and pulling her close so her back pressed to his front as he proceeded to whisper in her ear. "I want you to fight me Quinny. And you shall be my prize. If I win, I can do whatever I want to you."
"And if I win?" She returned, making him scoff as he ran his fingers up and down her neck, only slightly irritated by the fact that she didn't react in the slightest.
"If you win, you can have your precious Cullens back" and the challenge had finally become the most important one. If she won- she could continue on with her new life but if she lost- she was back to the life she had before. Nothing had ever been so important to her than winning in that moment and as Quinn looked across with a strong gaze to Bella, she reflected in it all the reassurance she could find. If not for herself, Quinn would win this fight for Bella.
"Do you accept the challenge Quinny?"
"What if I refuse?"
"Then I will take you here, in the sunshine, in front of your precious family and human. And I will keep them as my living statues every single day for the rest of forever, making them watch each time I have my way with you." He smirked, "and then, I'll take the human too, just for fun. Does that sound fun to you?"
"I accept your challenge, Jensen" she said strongly and she knew he was grinning in preempted victory.
