Quinn frowned as she saw Edward make his way across the dancefloor toward her with purpose in his eyes. The blonde girl rose an eyebrow from where she sat, shocked when he took both her hands and pulled her to stand with a proud grin. The girl was even more confused when he tugged her along onto the dancefloor. The first dance had been half an hour ago and in the meantime, the groom had danced non-stop with all the people that tradition demanded and now the dancefloor was relatively empty.

"Yes?" she asked with a small laugh as he pulled her into position on the centre of the dancefloor. He just chuckled as the song started and he led them into a simple waltz that they performed effortlessly, without even thinking about it.

"I wouldn't want my best friend to spend my entire wedding time miserable. You've had a frown on your face for about an hour now" he laughed. "Have you even spoken to anyone yet?"

"Society demands that I'm not allowed to walk around with my fiance so I'm being miserable and doing nothing instead" she grinned and Edward merely rolled his eyes as he spun her around.

"Are you having a good day? Best day of your life?" Quinn urged with a grin and Edward smiled in pride and excitement of the entire day.

"It has been quite brilliant yes" he smiled and Quinn finally noticed that aside from Esme and Carlisle, they were the only couple on the dance floor. As the groom and his best (wo)man passed the other couple, they grinned at one another in silent communication and Edward watched Quinn's eyes glitter at the sight of her fiance. "Charlie knows."

"He does?" she wondered as they danced easily, they didn't even have to think about it as their feet moved in rhythm.

"Yes, I suppose he must've figured it out himself, nobody told him" the groom hummed and she smiled.

"I am glad that Charlie knows. I wouldn't want to lie to him. He is a nice man" she informed with seriousness in her tone and Edward smiled gently at her, solemnly. Absentmindedly as they twirled around on the dance floor, Quinn couldn't help but wonder about her own father and where he had ended up.

"He never contacted you? After he left?" Edward questioned, having read her thoughts but she didn't mind, she'd grown used to it by now and was long since glad about Edwards abilities. His ability to read minds had helped them both on more than one occasion.

"No, he just up and left one day in his beat up car and we never heard from him again. For all I know, he's dead. He may as well me. When my mother died we tried to find him but... it seems he does not want to be found." She shrugged and Edward frowned as he assessed her face.

"Does it ever bother you? That he left?"

"Of course it does. My father leaving was just one of the many things that went wrong. It was the start of the domino effect. Before I was even born, I was being abandoned. My mother's parents refused to speak to her when they found out she was pregnant, then my dad left, then my mom died." She sighed, not looking at his face as she instead focused on the flower on his lapel that was in line with the top of her head.

"Quinn" Edward urged and she huffed once before looking up into his eyes with a smile. "None of this is your fault. None of it. You know that, don't you?"

"That's what I tell myself." She hummed and he frowned as he danced gently with her.

"I hope to dance with you at your wedding before the decade is up" he teased and she just rolled her eyes and chuckled along with him.

"We have to get out of this town first." She mused and he blinked at her.

"Soon, Quinn. I promise you."

"I know Edward. But being here is important. As many bad things as it brought me, it's also brought me the most good. I've had some of my happiest times here Edward. Forks gave you Bella and gave me Carlisle." She smiled. "Therefore, I can never hate it." She teased and he chuckled. "Not really"

"How are you feeling?" he questioned.

"Let's not get all miserable on your wedding day, Ed. I'm right as rain" she grinned and he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"All I'm saying is that if I am going away on a weeks honeymoon, I want to know that my best friend is okay in the meantime" he shrugged and she smiled gently at him.

"I'm okay, Ed. And I will be even happier if my island house survives the week" she grinned.
