Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

Quinn O'Connell looked down at the little leather-bound diary on the desk with the haunting sight of empty pages that fluttered throughout and she thought. Once, Quinn had written each entry to her mother, at the hopes that somewhere, her mom was looking out for her and helping her still. But the memory of Elizabeth O'Connell was no longer the thing that calmed her on her dark days, Elizabeth wasn't the one she longed for when she was upset. Quinn had someone else now and she would always have a place in her heart for her mother, even now that the childish unconditional love from a child to a parent had worn off.
And as she sat there, heavy pen in hand- she knew that there was only one person on the planet she would want to write a letter to, the one person in the world she would want to tell everything to. And that was Carlisle. Edward had once told Quinn that Carlisle was a patient man and that he loved her unconditionally-- that he wanted to be beside her for the good time and the bad. And now, she would give him that opportunity.
Dear Carlisle,
The sight of his name in her handwriting didn't fail to make her smile and she knew there were people who would find her actions odd, in writing a diary for her fiance but it felt absolutely right to her. Slowly, the blonde vampire began to write her vampire diary from the very first moment that she could remember- from the second she opened her crimson eyes in the new world. Pages and pages were filled in before she ever even realised, the sun slanting downwards in the sky slowly and she knew he would be home soon-- she couldn't wait.
Carlisle Cullen had-- at some point-- became her reason for existing and the thought of it made her heart swell. When Edward had gone to Volterra, everyone was appalled but Quinn couldn't help but think that if she was faced with the same scenario-- If she thought that Carlisle had died, she would do the exact same. Soulmates were a very dangerous thing for vampires because they became your number one weakness but they were so entirely necessary because they gave you a reason to keep on living for years and centuries. They gave you a purpose which is what everyone needed.
"You're writing" the voice smiled out a response and she looked up at Rosalie with an equal grin. The older blonde hopped to sit on the end of their bed, staring at her with unblinking eyes and Quinn felt a sudden need to speak to the vampire. Rosalie Hale was Quinn O'Connell's sister, even if they weren't related by blood and they had a strange family dynamic-- Rosalie would always be something important to Quinn.
"Rosie... What would you do? If--If there was the chance to bring justice for what happened to you?" she questioned, stuttering in a very human way that made Rosalie's eyes grow with warmth for a moment, seeing the innocent blue-eyed human in front of her again.
"I wouldn't... I have gotten past the pain and anguish that they made me feel, I don't want to reopen doors that have long since closed. And maybe that makes me a fool, to allow things to slide so easily but they're dead Quinn. Jensen Hargreaves is dead. Tarnishing his name... It won't make you feel any better because you have already found the thing that makes you happy. Carlisle makes you happy, Carlisle helps you to move on. Moving on, makes you happy. Just because it seems like the right thing to do, to enforce justice on his estate to make up for all the pain that was caused... Doesn't mean that you have to do it. It's not about him now, it's about you." she smiled sweetly, making her way over to her. Rosalie brushed Quinn's hair out of her eyes gently, motheringly and the younger vampires eyes fluttered to shut for a second before she spoke again.
"Thank you, Rosalie. I just... Continually think that I should help with the case. That I should make sure that something happens after what he did. To me and all those other women but... I don't want to, I don't want to hear his name ever again, or watch what he did. I just want to move on, I want to start my new life happily."
"Then you have already made your decision, Quinn. You don't have to listen to what everyone else tells you. Don't do what you think society demands of you. Do what makes you feel better. Jensen Hargreaves in buried in the ground under a shiny black headstone and that is the best justice in the world. You get to have a life without him because he is gone. You don't have to unbury what has already been set aside."
