"Do you think Alice will like this?" Carlisle frowned, holding up a coat for Quinn to look at and she assessed it with equal puzzlement on their face. They were both equally unsure of how to shop for someone we shopping obsessed as Alice Cullen- but in their travels they had collected gifts for everyone- All except Alice who they found the most difficult.
"I don't know" Quinn laughed. "Anything we get her will be wrong- Alice is just complicated. Maybe we should just choose something at random and hope she pretends to like it." She smiled and Carlisle chuckled as he put the coat back on the rack, easily closing the space between himself and his fiancé.
"Why do you get something for yourself, Quinn? You haven't really brought anything." He frowned and she turned to him with a smile.
"Because I don't need anything, Carlisle. I have all that I need." She smiled and stretched upwards to press a kiss to his cheek.
"Rose and Alice won't approve of that mentality" he chuckled as the two of them easily paid for the things they had chosen for Rosalie- she was much easier to shop for, mostly because her style matched Quinn's.
"My phone keeps ringing" Quinn groaned, sifting through her bag awkwardly as they excited the store, snow falling on their heads the second they were outside once more and Carlisle easily took the shopping bags from her hands- despite her protests. Though it allowed her to find her phone much easier. "It's Rosalie"
"Answer it love" Carlisle prompted, guiding her to stand beneath a shelter as she pressed the answer button.
"Hello?" She barely got the word out before Rosalie was talking.
"Quinn, oh thank God! I'm such an idiot! Alice saw a vision of Bella jumping off a cliff and she went to Forks to go and see what was happening - she thought she was dead! And I'm so stupid because I told Edward! He thinks she's dead and he's gone to the Volturi. He wants to die too. Alice and Bella are on their way there now. Oh, God, I've messed everything up Quinn" the other blonde vampire sounded like she was going to cry and Quinn was stood frozen in shock. Blinking in shock, Carlisle softly took the phone from his fiancés hand, holding it up to his own ear as Quinn prised the bags back out of his hand.
"Rosalie. It's Carlisle. Listen to me carefully please. Is Bella okay? How close are Alice and Bella to Italy? Quinn and I may be able to get there first." He questioned.
"They should be almost there now, Alice phoned me when they landed. I would've called sooner but I didn't know what was happening. I'm so sorry Carlisle." Quinn heard Rosalie respond.
"It is okay, Rosalie. Please can you all get your stuff together. Drive the cars back if you can. Quinn and I will get the first plane we can get.... we're going back to Forks."
