Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

"Quinn" his voice sounded completely shattered when he finally looked up at her from the first leather-bound book. She looked so beautiful in Denali, the world around them was pure with fresh snow, lingering in her hair though the sun beat down brightly, turning her skin into a thousand diamonds. It was the sign of a monster but he found it utterly stunning on her.
"You don't have to say anything Carlisle. I didn't show you that because I wanted you to be upset. I love you Carlisle and I trust you with everything that I am. I showed you that because I still want the same things, I am ready to love you in the way you deserve. I still want that love, the love that consumes you and I know that I found it. I don't want you to be delicate with me because I'm not fragile with you, you make me the absolute strongest. Stronger than I have ever been." she spoke quickly, turning to him and he just stared into those gorgeous gold eyes. "You were that one, the one I wanted to experience everything with. You're the one I want to kiss every day, the one I want to make happy, you're the one I want to live and spend eternity with and Carlisle. You're the one I want to marry." he blinked at her. "Marry me."
"W-what?" it was the first time in his immortal life that Carlisle had ever stuttered.
"Marry me" she put more emphasis on each of the words as she spoke them. "I am never going to love someone the way I love you. I only want you, forever. The love you give me is more than I could ever have asked for. I know this isn't some grand gesture, but it is a genuine one"
"Yes"
"Yes?"
"Yes... I'll marry you, Quinn O'Connell. I've known that you are the only person on this earth for me, since the moment I met you at that hospital with your shy voice and your bruised head. It's always been you. I've been looking for you for my entire three hundred years. You are everything to me, the world. You are the love that consumes me, I could not go a day on this earth without you and reading this book, reading your story, living every single day of pain that you experienced... It just makes you somehow even more miraculous in my eyes. You are so so strong Quinn, the strongest person I have ever met. You inspire me every day, you make me fall somehow even more in love with you with every kiss and I know that in comparison to my life, I have known you for only a second but I know, even in that second, that you are the one." if they could cry, it was certain that they would be and he rushed forward, taking her face in his hands, slamming his lips to her with furious intensity. The force was more than they'd ever experienced, complete and utter passion and she was consumed with him as his hands tied into her hair, pulling slightly. Every movement he made was like heaven. He was the right person for her.
When they finally pulled away, he pressed his forehead to hers, not willing to let go of her for even a second. There were not enough words to tell her how much he loved her, she was his meant to be and nothing else mattered.
"Thank you, Carlisle, for everything. I owe you the world."
"You deserve the world, Quinn. And I intend to give it to you." he smiled softly, pressing his lips to hers again.
"Carlisle! Quinn!" Alice cane bubbling down the pathway, skipping along with a jump in her step as she approached where the pair of them sat side-by-side on the bench. "We're all going to play baseball, come on. Cullen versus Denali! It's going to be amazing" she grinned, laughing erratically and the two of them exchanged glances because just from her expression alone, they knew that she hadn't seen it yet. Alice Cullen was, for once in her entire immortal life, oblivious to what had happened between the two of them in her absence.
"Baseball?" Carlisle offered his hand to Quinn cheerfully and she grinned as she slipped her fingers into his. For now, they would keep their news to themselves because no one else mattered. It was between the two of them and they saw no reason to make a big deal out of it. They followed Alice calmly through the woods, smiling to one another softly. Somehow, each and every day only managed to bring Carlisle and Quinn closer together. But neither could fault their relationship. It was perfect for them.
"There they are!" Tanya giggled as they finally split into a field, snow dusting the ground like the frosting on a cake, trekked through with footprints as the two teams stood around waiting. "We were beginning to think you got lost" she winked, adjusting her red hat and Quinn smiled as she glanced around. The two teams consisted of; the red team- Eleazar, Carmen, Kate, Irina, Tanya and Jack. And the Blue team- Carlisle, Quinn, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice and Jasper. Edward sat in a huff in the snow, watching and Esme was the umpire, at his side. The group couldn't help but feel sad for the boy who looked so utterly heartbroken as the game broke out.
"You have to wear this" Alice demanded as she shoved a blue baseball shirt into Quinn's hands and she rolled her eyes as she pulled it on. "That outfit does not match Q, at all"
"You look lovely, Darling" Carlisle contradicted, sending Alice warning eyes. The little vampire merely rolled her own golden orbs and danced off over to Jasper. In this new environment, far away from humans who he could potentially harm, Jasper seemed happier than Quinn had ever seen him and the smile on his lips was a welcome one.
"Hopefully this game goes better than the last" Rosalie hummed absentmindedly to her fellow blonde as Quinn joined her side.
