When all of the guests had finally cleared, returning to their respective residencies and hotels, the sky was pitch black and twinkling with a thousand stars that lit her eyes. And Carlisle was there, arms around her where she stood on the balcony in their bedroom. The tops of the trees seemed to go on forever, far beyond where the reach of the houses light glow could illuminate. And Quinn seemed on top of the world as her ringed finger gently drew patterns on his hand that rested over her hip. The feel of his toned body pressed against her back was the most soothing feeling in the world to the girl.

Gently, Carlisles left hand reached up and his fingers ghosted over her right cheek before he tilted her face upwards and to the side, drawing her gaze to look at him before he pressed his lips to hers. Turning in his arms slowly, Quinn's arms reached her to circle around his neck and Carlisles found her waist as they walked backwards together into the dully illuminated shared bedroom. Carlisles suit jacket was the first thing to drop carelessly onto the thick rug at their feet and in the next step they took, she left her shoes behind.

The younger vampires fingers fumbled slightly with his tie, refusing to allow their lips to move even an inch from one another's as she unwound it from his neck and tossed it away. Quinn had never been one for patience- that was Carlisles forte and so, the doctor had another perfectly good shirt ruined that night at his little mate tore it straight down the middle, staring at the collar. Buttons popped and scattered into the thick fibres if the rug and he laughed again, the sound being swallowed by the kiss. With Carlisles upper body bare, her hands couldn't resist the temptation to run across him and she found his belt beneath her fingers in the neck moment, the buckle hitting against the gentle porcelain of her skin before she undid it with unmatched speed.

"We have all night." He soothed her softly, rubbing his hands easily through the curls of her hair as his thumbs caressed her sharp cheekbones. And she grinned, grabbing each end of his belt in either hand as she pulled him close to her. Chuckling in light shock, Carlisles hands smoothed down her back, much more patiently undoing each button with an agonising slowness that purposely teased her. But it wasn't long before the fabric of the dress billowed outwards like a cloud, parachuted by the air to her feet and it left her in a dark purple lingerie Alice had insisted upon.

Carlisles eyes darkened into a pool of midnight the second he took in her tousled curls and curved body and the gentle, slow intensity of the moment they shared was shattered as he grabbed her, hoisting her up so her legs wrapped around his waist as papers scattered like leaves onto the floor. The kisses were no longer smooth and sweet but forceful and passionate as tongues and teeth came into play and Carlisles neatly gelled hair found itself mused by her gentle tugs. The patient Carlisle flew out the window as quickly as Quinn's previously had and he was left shredding the fabric easily from her body with his fingers, dropping it in a handful and leaving her gloriously at his will in the gentle lamplight.

Quinn knew that she should feel at least slightly uncomfortable with her body so openly on show to him but she trusted Carlisle with all that she was and as his eyes scanned over her once before pinning on her face; there was nothing but a longing, loving passion there. His simple gaze made her feel beautiful as she continued to kiss him deeply. Carlisle Cullen had always dreamed of the woman that would one day complete him, and he had finally found her in the form of Quinn O'Connell and despite all the sadness and pain she carried around with her - he knew that she was utterly perfect. Quinn was everything he ever needed and more.

Carlisle had always seemed to fine in himself to the world around, compassionately patient and accepting of himself as he drank only from animals- an outstanding citizen. Carlisle was the model of a perfect man in the eyes of many but in himself, he had never felt he lived up to the image he portrayed. He never accepted that he was a decent man because despite how much he longed to appreciate his own kind- the  idea of the monster that he was couldn't be erased. Every time his eyes fell upon the paleness of his own face- Carlisle had felt hollow in the knowledge that he was to be a monster for all eternity.

But then he met her and she flipped the world upside down, she took his carefully planned routine and crushed it. She gave his existence a light and a purpose. And she made him feel alive. With each kiss and touch, he felt as if a shock ran through him with the capability to restart his cold heart. Quinn did the impossible- she made him feel warm. She made him feel human. And it was a feeling he'd desired since the very first moment they had met.

Quinn hadn't even realised how much she helped him through the love she provided but she brought the Carlisle that everyone else saw, and the Carlisle that he himself saw, together at last. And he was complete.
