Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

Quinn O'Connell couldn't help but smile at the sight of him sat there. He was the most beautiful person she had ever laid eyes on, blonde waves slightly tousled on his forehead, skin pale and features sharp, smile absentminded as those marvellous golden eyes swept over the book in his hand. The blonde vampire lay on her stomach on the couch, her head rested on her hand on the arm as she watched him with an intense, unblinking gaze, he watching his book with similar intensity.
As Quinn stared at him in that comfortable, warm cottage room, she knew that she would do anything for him. She lived for him and she would die for him. Sensing her gaze as he got to the edge of the page, Carlisle couldn't help his eyes from trailing upwards to rest on her. She was beautiful, appearing oh-so warm under the yellowy lamp glow.
"You're staring" his voice was so delicate, like the fluttering wings of a butterfly though it needn't be any louder, she heard him as clear as a bell. Any louder and he'd have shattered the silence that had befallen them in the O'Connell cottage that night.
"This might be our final night together" her voice was like a ghost as she stood and made her way to him gently, perching upon his lap. At the sight of his beautiful fiance, the precious book in Carlisle's hand was carelessly discarding, paling in comparison to the importance of her. Her hand reached up to trail along his cheek softly and it was a gentle goodbye, in case of the worst and similarly, it was a strong promise to fight her very hardest to stay with him.
"I won't lose you, Quinn. I'm not going to let anybody hurt you... I can't" he closed his eyes tightly for a moment and she sighed softly, running a hand over his face in a movement that she knew would soothe him. Breathing gently, he leant into her hand, eyes tightening once before they opened and there was nothing but love there as he took her cheeks in the gentlest fashion a vampire could manage. Pressing into the kiss, Quinn found herself happy merely by the feel of his hands on her.
Carlisle held Quinn as if she was the most precious thing on earth and it made her feel so loved, it made her feel so beautiful as he wrapped his arms around her gently, standing with ease and bringing her with him into the air. Quinn felt safe in his arms as he carried her slowly through the house that only a few months before, they'd decorated together with nothing but love and happiness in their hearts.
The crisp lilac of the bedding pressed into her delicately as he placed her down and she only pulled him with her, kicking his shoes off in the process, Carlisle shifted beside her, never allowing their lips to leave one another's for even the shortest of moments. Every touch was soft and gentle that night as he kissed her, their lips moving so familiarly as if it was the very last time. When her fingers twisted within his slightly curled hair, Carlisle could only smile gently, his heart swelling.
With each kiss, they managed to make one another feel alive. And they were more in love than they'd ever been. Their bodies felt fit to burst with all the love that consumed him and each movement was painfully slow though completely rewarding as they undressed one another. Quinn and Carlisle made a thousand promises to one another on that night, with every kiss they exchanged and when he kissed her deeply- Quinn returned just as furiously.
Locking his fingers with hers against the bed, he held up his weight to stare into her stunning eyes as he finally pushed in. They were the perfect temperature for one another, neither too cold nor too hot now as they held one another. Her skin was like satin against his as he smiled, seeing nothing but joy, love and pleasure within the golden eyes that he knew so well. They were eyes he could stare at forever and never get bored of, the mere colour alone could be distinguishable by him from a crowd of a million. And as the two of them danced in the intimate passion, they couldn't help but think that if that was to be their very last night on earth- It was a perfect one.
Carlisle Cullen and Quinn O'Connell had found their soulmate in one another and as his moans filled her ears, she felt pleased to be providing him with such joy. Quinn was a million miles away from the shattered girl who had texted Edward in the hopes of a response. She was a million miles from the girl who had walked the Cullen mansion for the very first time in mitch matched clothes and as she flipped Carlisle over with her newborn strength, she knew that she was complete.
Quinn O'Connell had found her forever love in Carlisle Cullen and as she kissed him- She knew one thing for certain...
Carlisle had healed her. Just as Emmett had healed Rosalie. Carlisle had taught Quinn how to love, to love him and to love herself. And as she made love to him on what could possibly have been the very last night, she felt beautiful...
