Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

Once Quinn had returned to her room from her walk, she'd promptly evicted the boys to spend the night in Emmetts room instead and she spent the remainder of the day tidying the messy room that for the past three days, Carlisle had only entered to shower and change. The sun seemed to set impossibly slowly that day but true to his word as always, Carlisle was there when night fell with a smile on his face as he swept his dark eyes over the room. Quinn had never seen his eyes so dark.
The second he was there, the two of them were drawn together like magnets and the instant they threw their arms around one another, she forgave him for not having seen her in a few days. She held him as tight as her weakness would allow and he buried his head in her hair, breathing in her marvellous scent.
"I heard... What Jack said" the doctor informed in a low tone and she tensed, "And I heard what you said... And I'm sorry. I don't want you to think that I have forgotten about you, Quinn. You know you are the most important thing in the world to me but... Everyone is relying on me right now."
"I know, just... Ignore that I said anything. The hunger has me all moody" she laughed, looking down at her hands and he scoffed as he took her cheeks gently, tilting her head to look up at him.
"I know that you are hungry and I'm sorry. The first opportunity we get to go hunting, we will go" he reassured and she nodded, smiling gently up at him as she pulled him down to kiss her. Quinn O'Connell felt complete in his arms, even if her non-existent veins felt like sandpaper. "Shower with me? It will make you feel better" he grinned and she giggled as she allowed him to pull her along to the ensuite bathroom.
As Quinn allowed the warm water to rush over her, her fiance at her side in the large square stand-alone shower cubicle, she understood what he meant about it making her feel better. Carlisle smiled down at Quinn as the water sparkled over her. Just from standing close to her, he felt the stress leave his body. The warmth was captivating for them both; as the last soap bubbles cleared from her body, she couldn't resist the urge to press up onto her toes in the steam of the shower and press her lips eagerly to his. Carlisle was more than happy to return the favour.
Pushing his fiance against the tiles of the shower, water warming their cold bodies, their kiss only grew deeper for the longest time. Inevitably, the doctor pulled back to press his forehead against hers.
"I missed you" he promised and it was all that she needed to hear to make her fall in love all over again."... If I go downstairs and clear away all the remnants of blood... You can come and visit Bella." he decided and she frowned up at him, refusing to remove her hands from around his neck for even a second. "Would you like that?"
"You'll be there?"
"Always, beautiful" he reassured and the bright grin she shot his way was enough to reassure him that he had his answer. Half an hour later, Quinn and Carlisle found themselves walking down the stairs, hand in hand. The great room seemed much smaller as they stepped through the door and Bella, who was lounging with Jacob sat close beside her, lightened with a grin when she saw her newborn best friend.
"Quinn"
"Bella" the blonde nodded, aware of the way Rosalie watched her. Her blonde sister smiled in sympathy, knowing how hard it all was for the mind controller but they also knew that she would never hurt Bella and so when Quinn took a seat in the armchair furthest away from the human, they all unconsciously relaxed. "Esme?"
"Yes dear?" the mother piped up from where she sat and Quinn smiled warmly.
"Your presence has been requested by Jack... He really misses you," she informed and Esme blinked at her before flashing away. "You're looking better, Bella."
"I'm feeling better" she responded before looking at all those around the room. Edward and Quinn seemed to be having a silent conversation- it was the way that they always were with one another though as Bella watched a ghost of a smile tighten over Edward's lips, she couldn't help but be glad for it. If the worst did happen- At least he would still have a reason to carry on. "...Would it be possible to talk to Quinn... Alone?"
Carlisle looked down at the girl in his arms and she blinked for a moment before nodding tightly.
"I'm okay" she promised and he kissed her forehead once before gesturing for the others to leave. He trusted his fiance.
"Let me know if you need anything" he urged and she smiled, nodding as she watched them leave. Only when the door firmly closed behind them, did she turn to Bella. They both knew that the others in the house wouldn't listen in on the conversation.
"Quinn... I need you to promise me that... If the worst does happen... You'll be there for him. For Charlie too. They all need you." she tried, frowning and Quinn blinked. "Edward told me when you first left Forks after my birthday that he asked you to make him forget... Please... If he asks again... Say yes."
"You'd want me to make him forget? I-- Bella, you can't want everyone to forget you?"
"Quinn, Please. You're one of my closest friends and your his best friend. If he asks, don't deny him. I know I can fight this, I'm strong now. But in case of the worst...It's all I ask from you..."
