Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

Quinn O'Connell drove calmly, Bella in the passenger seat though there was an awkward silence between them now- since Quinn voted against Bella becoming a vampire a few days ago. The brunette didn't seem to understand why Quinn had worked against her so, offering to drive her home, Quinn was determined to get Bella to like her again.
"Listen" Quinn decided as she drove. "I didn't mean anything by voting against you becoming a vampire Bella, it is all purely for Charlie's sake. He's going to be devastated to find that his daughter has died, have you even thought about what we are going to say to him? You cannot suddenly die when we all come back to town without raising suspicion. And what about your mom? Or Jacob?"
"How do you know about that?" she accused and Quinn sent her a raised eyebrow.
"Bella, believe it or not. We were friends once. Just because I am a vampire now, doesn't mean you can't talk to me anymore. I won't tell Edward anything if that's what you're worried about. I can keep a secret" she informed calmly, driving. "You like this Jacob."
"W-what?" Bella stuttered out and Quinn rose an eyebrow. "I do not have feelings for Jacob if that is what you are getting at?"
"I was just asking you what your relationship with him is." Quinn shrugged innocently, smiling sweetly and Bella huffed but the blonde girl knew that she was forgiven for their earlier feud. "Make sure he knows Bella, that you don't feel anything for him. You don't want him to get the wrong idea." That was some real advice and Bella thought about it for a moment before nodding.
"You're wearing a ring" Bella acknowledged and Quinn looked down at it, smiling despite herself.
"Yeah... I kind of proposed to Carlisle in Denali... And then he gave me a ring in Paris" she smiled softly because it somehow still felt like a dream, the fact that she couldn't sleep was the one thing that assured her that it was real.
"T-That's amazing, Quinn!" Bella smiled, eyes wide with excitement for her friend and she smiled back.
"Being in love with a vampire... Everything just moves so fast, doesn't it? But, a long time ago, Carlisle promised me that our relationship would move slowly, that he would love me in slow motion, at my pace. You know, given everything that's happened. So, we probably won't have a wedding any time soon, but it just feels so nice, the promise of it."
"I know what you mean," Bella smiled. "Loving Edward... it's different to anything I've ever experienced or thought I would experience. It is like a fairytale but at the same time, not" only someone who was in love with a vampire could truly understand the feeling. "Where did you go? On holiday?"
"Loads of places" Quinn smiled dreamily. "Canal boat rides in Amsterdam, kisses under the Eiffel tower, Christmas in a French Chateau, walks in the Luxemburg gardens, Dublin, Athens." she listed and Bella listened in excitement. To her, it all sounded incredible.
"That all sounds amazing Quinn"
"It is and that's a positive about vampirism... You can keep on doing it, for eternity. You have forever to go to all the places you've dreamt about"
"I hope that I get to go one day." Bella mused and Quinn smiled at her.
"You will be able to Bella, you've decided that you want to be a vampire and now that I have been outvoted, I might as well start focusing on the good things that come from it, for your sake... Have you decided when you're turning?"
"I want to turn after graduation."
"After graduation? Bella... That's really soon."
"I know, but there's no point in waiting any longer than that, is there?" Bella shrugged as they drove through the rain and Quinn hummed in consideration.
"What's the big rush Bella, really?" she questioned after a moment of silence and Bella frowned before she answered.
"I'm just ready... To start my life with Edward."
"If that was all it's about, you would agree to marry him. I've heard you two are having a disagreement about that?" Quinn rose an eyebrow. "I might be able to keep a secret but Edward can't, apparently." she laughed. "It's not just Carlisle and I who are considering engagements."
"Marriage is a piece of paper, Quinn. Edward wants us to get married and then he will turn me. What sort of preposition is that?" she scoffed, folding her arms and Quinn smiled.
"Bella, to them, marriage is so much more. Edward and Carlisle come from a time where marriage is final, marriage is forever and it's the greatest portrayal of 'I love you' that there is." she tried to explain her reasoning.
"But I don't understand why he insists on it. Why does it have to be now? He's just trying to prolong my transition"
"Bella, maybe Edward is doing this for you? Maybe he is making you wait so that you can have your dad walk you down the aisle. Maybe he's doing it so you can go dress shopping with your mom and taste test the wedding cake! Get drunk on your hen-do" she laughed. "It's all things you haven't even thought about Bells, everything is different after. Everything."
"I don't know" Bella sighed, but Quinn knew that she was at least thinking about it now, as she got out the car with a simple goodbye, running awkwardly through the rain. Quinn smiled and waved at Charlie who loitered in the doorway and he returned it. It was no secret in town that Quinn O'Connell had been adopted by the Cullens, but nobody cared because once you finished school, everything seemed a lot less dramatic.
