Quinn O'Connell was the pretty girl in pink, the homecoming queen and all-around straight-A student. Most people saw her as uptight, narcissistic but most importantly... They saw her as a control freak with her perfect blonde hair and patronising sm...

"This is so exciting" Quinn babbled. "Look at us on our family outing" she continued, her arm linked with Emmett's left with Rosalie on his right. Esme and Jack walked a little bit in front with Carlisle to the side.
"It's not that exciting Q, we get to relive this moment every few years. Maybe you can actually attend your next graduation" Emmett teased her and she glared at him.
"Nope, that's not for me thanks. I will be a housewife from now on... Forever" she beamed proudly and Emmett scoffed.
"You're already bored, Quinn"
"Yes, but I would like to actually be able to hold my fiances hand in public." she returned, gesturing to Carlisle who turned to her with a gentle smile, slowing to walk beside her across the school parking lot. Today; Alice, Jasper, Bella and Edward graduated and they were all attending. There was even to be a party afterwards which was what they were all most excited for.
"You could now, it might just ruin the good doctor's reputation" Jack smiled, gaining a glare from Quinn and an eye roll from Carlisle as they approached where the other parents were congregated. Rosalie wasn't exactly happy about the new development but was there nonetheless, to support her brothers and sister. When the group took a seat together, they were very aware of the glances they got from all around but they couldn't bring themselves to care, they were very used to it by then.
"You know, you're being all stingy about being a nineteen-year-old dating a thirty whatever year old but really you're a nineteen-year-old dating a seven-hundred-year-old. " Emmett mused and Carlisle looked over at him, seeming genuinely offended.
"I was born in 1640"
"Yeesh, old!" Emmett whisper yelled and Jack rolled his eyes from where he sat beside the male, Rosalie hitting him upside the head. "Q, Carlisle is so old, he remembers when emojis were called hieroglyphics."
"Shut up Emmett or find yourself a new drinking buddy" Quinn shot him a flashing white beam and he instantly quieted.
"I've got a whole batch sorted out, we'll be buzzing before morning you lil' pyromaniac" he winked and Carlisle frowned at the burly man. "What, Carlisle didn't you see her bonfire in the garden the other day?"
"...shut up Emmett" Esme finally cut in and he pouted, crossing his arms in his chair. They were all having a graduation party at the house- much to the displeasure of Rosalie who was disturbed at the thought of humans in her house. And Emmett and Quinn were the only two agreeing to drink and have a fun time with it. They were, however, directed to only drink within the safe confines of the locked library so humans couldn't accidentally stumble across their blood-liquor stash.
"When we were five" the valedictorian speech finally began and Quinn pouted, never having gotten the chance to say hers. "They asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like Astronaut, President or, in my case, princess." there were a few chuckles. "When we were ten they asked us again and we answered rockstar, cowboy or in my case, gold medalist." Carlisle smiled down at Quinn and she returned it.
"But now that we have grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, what about this. Who the hell knows" and that had the graduates cheering. "This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, this is the time to make mistakes" and Quinn couldn't help her gaze from slipping over to Bella who was staring at her hands in her lap now. "Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere... Fall in love a lot. Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind and change it again because nothing is permanent. So make as many mistakes as you can and that way, someday when they ask what we want to be... we won't have to guess, we'll know" and everyone cheered- including the ex valedictorian.
As the Alice and Edward walked across the stage, Emmett and Quinn cheered excessively loudly, making Carlisle chuckle. Jasper got the same reaction and as he walked down the stairs across the stage, he mock saluted them.
"Sheesh, yellow is not Edwards colour" she teased, very aware that he could hear her and he turned to glare at her, making her smile and wave cheerily in return. Carlisle was happy to see how much of a good mood she was in.
The calling of the name 'Isabella Swan' had them all cheering, including Charlie Swan who smiled when he saw Quinn standing up with him in the crowd. Though she was short and nobody really realised that she was stood. Bella blushed brilliantly as she took her seat once more and they were all grinning and happiness at the event.
Wandering back outside into the rain, the family crowded together in the parking lot as they waited to be rejoined by the newly graduated Cullens. When Edward, Jasper and Alice finally approached, they all grinned again.
"No Bella?" Rosalie asked with a raised eyebrow.
"She's going for dinner with her father" the mind reader returned, suddenly serious and they all nodded before heading back into the cars. Edward grinned at the happy expression on Quinn's face as she sat in the passenger seat of Carlisle's Mercedes, Edward in the back like a child.
"Are you getting drunk tonight Ed?" she beamed back at him and Carlisle chuckled at the mere thought of it.
"Absolutely not."
"You're so boring, live a little."
"Can't... I'm dead" he seemed very proud of his response despite the incredulous looks he recieved in response.
