Quinn O'Connell couldn't help but swallow as she clasped Carlisle's hand tightly within her own. The question that had been on everyone's minds for the past few weeks- why Alice and Jasper left- only ate at her more and more each day. To have left their family, the ones they claimed to love entirely- they must have known something... Something bad. It didn't give them much hope for the future of their coven as a whole.
Egypt was a place that Quinn never thought she'd be able to visit, given their inability to walk freely in the daylight- and the welcoming they received wasn't entirely warm.
"Amun, Please" Carlisle practically begged one of his oldest friends as they walked through the beautiful home, hoping that somehow, they could possibly convince them to help.
"I can't help you Carlisle"
"I wouldn't ask if it weren't urgent" Carlisle begged, too distracted by the conversation at hand to notice the changing environment around them. Though Quinn saw it easily, the way the water in the central pool flowed to one end to defy gravity- and she was in awe as it towered upwards in a building wall. It was nothing short of magic and when she set eyes on the male across the way, she knew it was him.
"I'd like to hear about it" he beamed, he was young- that much was clear, and despite how completely and utterly different he was from Emmett, they gave off the same childish energy that made Quinn smile. The girl at his side seemed to catch Quinn's smile because she returned one warmly. "I never get to meet any of Amun's friends. He likes to keep me hidden."
"Can't imagine why" Carlisle chuckled, his eyes catching on his fiances and he couldn't help but smile at the awe that filtered across her eyes as she watched the water that towered above them. Just as easily as he had lifted the water, he allowed it to drop and Carlisle placed an arm around Quinn slightly protectively as he pulled her closer, away from the water that splashed at their feet. The blonde couldn't help the giggle that tumbled from her lips when it did- And the water defying man winked.
"Carlisle" the doctor introduced as he and the man shook hands.
"Benjamin" a name was finally given to the face.
"Quinn"
"Tia"
"A brilliant pleasure to meet you"
