Quinn couldn't help but smile upwards at Carlisle as she stood in the circle of his arms. Around them, were the other Cullen couples and as Bella finally joined them with Edward- their family felt complete. They all knew that Bella was one of them now, whether they liked it or not. Rosalie was still unhappy about the development but knew that she wanted Edward to be happy.

As the wolves joined the clearing in the woods, Carlisle held her impossibly closer and she ran her hand along his arm as she took in the great creatures and the way they stalked forward. As much as the wolves were trusting the Cullens at that moment- The vampires were trusting them too because if the wolves attacked, nobody knew what the outcome would be.

"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms," Edward informed, ever the mind-reader and Quinn knew that if she met the eyes of the wolves staring at her, she could read them too. She chose not to do such things.

"They came" Carlisle smiled softly, "That's what matters." With every word and conversation- Carlisle managed to make Quinn fall further and further in love with him. It was overwhelming yet equally exhilarating. "Will you translate?" the doctor stepped forward out of Quinn's grasp and she sighed softly but the reassuring hand on her shoulder from Alice made her smile either way. "Welcome, Jasper has experience with newborns, he'll teach us how to defeat them,"

"They want to know how the newborns differ from us" Edward informed, eyes trailing over to Quinn slowly because she was effectively a newborn still- Just a very self-controlled newborn.

"The newborns are a great deal stronger than us because their human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind are never more physically powerful than in their first several months of this life." and he turned to Jasper who continued from where he left off. Carlisle was quick to rejoin Quinn's side, finding comfort in her embrace as usual.

"Carlisle's right. That's why they are created, a newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army, but no human army could stand against them. Now, the two most important things to remember are first, never let them get their arms around you- They'll crush you instantly and second- Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that and you will lose." he beamed. "Emmett" it started. "Don't hold back"

"Not in my nature" Emmett beamed and Quinn watched them intensely with a blazing gaze, the newborn of the group had never been involved in physical combat before in her life- safe for the time she punched Jensen in the face but that was obvious self-defence. Edward smiled at her solemnly, hearing her thoughts and for the most part- she ignored him.

As Quinn watched Carlisle and Edward fight one another, she couldn't help but cringe but she was glad to see the smiles on their faces as they did so. Quinn watched them all fight with a clear gaze, taking in every move and motion that they did and memorising them. She didn't have any experience in this.

"Q" Jasper called and she snapped her gaze to him from where she was watching Rosalie. "You and Edward are very similar, the two of you are of average strength but you're fast... Really fast. Your best bet is to dodge until you have an open opportunity. A newborn will go for the obvious move." he informed and calmly with a gentle smile and she nodded softly as he beckoned her forward.

Edward and Carlisle exchanged a glance as they watched her standing there. Quinn looked so small beside Jasper, even more so against Emmett but they knew that they would not be able to force Quinn away from the fight- No matter how hard they tried. She was adamant that that was what she wanted to do. She wanted to fight alongside her family.

Their practice fight began before she even had a chance to comprehend but luckily- she was ready and dodged elegantly. As they watched her, they couldn't help but smile at the irritation that overcame Jaspers face because he couldn't catch her. Quinn was small and fast and soon she had him pinned on the floor, that was when it was his turn to show off his moves. Being strong, the major flipped them over quickly, hands going around her neck. But that was when he stopped, in a daze as he allowed his hands to fall. The man stood calmly and remained as still as a statue which allowed her to hop up with a beam.

"Don't look into my eyes, Jasper. I'm a master hypnotist." she teased to the man that could easily have been a statue and as the others laughed quietly, she released him from her hold.

"Good" he coughed awkwardly. "Use that if you can. They won't be expecting it."

"Why thank you." she beamed.

"You're weak though Q, Emmett was right about that on the very first day. You need to be tactful. Work with Carlisle on it" he gestured for her to go away and she did so, rejoining Carlisle's side with a smile of victory.

"You actually have to practice fighting moves" Emmett mocked and she rolled her eyes as she wrapped her arms around her mate's waist and he pressed a gentle kiss to her hair.

"Well done, my love."
