Logan had a productive day at work. He and Rory talked several times.  He was picking her and the boys at 6:00 to go to Chuck E Cheese. The boys are excited. Logan was trying hard to fit into her and the boy's lives.  She loved his effort.  Karson will not be joining them, she made other plans.  Sometimes Rory thinks of Karson as her own daughter.
While they are all having a good time at Chuck E Cheese, Logan's phone rings. He sees it is his mother.  He tells Rory "I need to take this" and steps away. "Hello Mother. How are you."
Shira "I'm fine, where are you? It sounds like little kids and babies."
Logan: "Mother, I am busy. Could you just get to the point? Where I am, is of no concern to you."
Logan could hear his mother taking a deep breath. She is probably smoking again. "Well, I would think if it concerns you, then it concerns me." Logan is just rolling his eyes. "Anyhow, I see where you have changed my plans. I was just calling to see if you would be bringing anyone?"
Logan laughed; someone must have told her that he was seeing Rory. "No mother, I will not be bringing anyone. I am sure you have heard the rumors. Rory and I are back together."
"Logan," Shira said with a sigh. "I wish you would think about this. She is divorce. She has 3 or4 children. She is alone now; she just wants someone to help her raise her children."
Logan ''First, she has twin boys. Second, Rory has help raising her children. She has her parents and step parents as was her ex-husband and a part time nanny. But again Mother, this is no concern for you. If you have any feelings for my happiness, you will stay out of this. I don't like reminding you that I could cut you off at any time."
Shira "Logan, don't threaten me. You know that you will not cut me off as you say."
Logan: "Mother, don't try me." And hangs up the phone.
He then calls Honor. Tells her about the conversation with their mother.  Honor tells him she will call and talk with her.
Logan returns to Rory and the boys. He decided now was not the time to tell Rory about his phone call with Shira.
Thursday, Honor and Rory enjoyed spending time catching up. The boys played in the pool most of the afternoon. Gigi and Louie along with Karson played in the pool with the boys giving Rory and Honor time to catch up. Logan arrived as Honor and her boys were leaving.  Samuel wanted to stay. He thought Uncle Logan would get in the pool with them.  Logan told them all next time.  Karson was getting the twins out of the pool and dried off. Gigi and Louie left earlier to go home and get ready. They are meeting Karson and some of their friends at the mall.
Friday morning bright and early, Logan is ringing the doorbell at the Gilmore Manor. When he was let in he couldn't believe what he was witnessing.  There were about 6 suitcases and backpacks all over the sitting room. The boys were playing with some trucks on the sofa, making loud noises. Karson was dressed but kept going back to her room because she forgot something. Rory is on the phone, dressed in a Yale tee shirt and pajama pants.
When Rory got off the phone, she told Logan "That was Billy. Sorry about all the mess.  Give us 30 more minutes and we will be ready to go."
Logan asked Rory if it was okay to start loading the bags in the SUV. Karson comes back upstairs and hears the tail end of the conversation. She tells Logan and Rory that she will get the Land Rover and bring it around front. It will be easier to load, she told him.
True to her word, they were pulling out of the gate at the Gilmore Manor 30 minutes later.  Karson has the remote and is turning on the DVD player for the boys who were sitting patiently with their headphones on.  Karson settles in the back with her earbuds listening to her music while Rory and Logan talk.
When they arrived at Logan's apartment, he showed them around. He showed Chris and Will to a room with a double bed.  He told them if they would rather each have a room that would be fine. Will and Chris just shook their heads, together is better. The boys followed them to the connecting room with the Jack and Jill bathroom. That would be Karson's room. When they left Karson's room, Will asked, "Where you sleep mama?" Rory told him that Logan will show them the room she will sleep in. It was further down the hall.  Chris said. "If we need you, we come to your room?" Rory looked at Logan as she bends down to Chris and Will's height. "Yes, you can always come to my room."  Will and Chris seemed to be okay with that. After the tour, Rory left to go meet Steph, and Logan headed to the office.
About 3:30 Rory, Steph, Andrew and Savanna come through the door. The boys are playing on one of the game consoles, Karson is reading with the TV on in the background. Everyone is introduced. Rory sits down with the twins to spend some time with them. Karson and Savanna are around the same age. They left to go to the coffee shop down the road to get to know each other better.
Upon Karson and Savanna's return, Rory and Steph went to Logan's room to get ready.  Shortly after that, Logan returned from work. After stopping and talking with the kids, he heads to his room. The door is closed so he knocks.  Rory answers in a robe, she tells Logan his clothes are in the guess room on the left. Logan just shakes his head and heads to the guess room to get a shower and change.  He can hear Rory and Steph giggling. That is a sound he could never get enough off. His Ace was happy.
When Finn and Collin arrived, the girls and Logan were ready to go. With final instructions to Karson and Savanna, and a reminder to all the boys to be good, they left for their night out.  Finn's date is meeting them at the restaurant.
They enjoyed the time with their friends. They had a wonderful meal followed by dancing and drinking at a club the Finn owned "Phin-O'Licious". After lots of dancing, mostly by Steph and Rory with Logan and Collin close by, they all decided to call it a night. They had plans to take the boys to the zoo. Steph and Andrew will be joining them. Collin has to work.
Logan untangled himself from Rory to go to the bathroom and get some water.  When he returned, one of the twins was standing in the middle of his bedroom. He is so glad that Rory insisted that they put their pajamas on before going to sleep.  Logan had not been around the twins long enough to tell them apart, especially in the dark.
Logan: "Hey little man. What's wrong?" Chris "where's mama?" Logan "she is asleep right there. Do you want to get in bed with her?" Chris just nodded his head.  Logan picked him up and put him to bed with Rory.  He asked Chris if it was okay if he laid down next to him. Chris had already snuggled into Rory's arms and was sound asleep. Logan gently laid down next to Chris.  He thought as he drifted off to sleep. This is the life I have been missing.
Logan woke to two little boys giggling.  He opens his eyes to see both boys between him and Rory.  He closed his eyes back and spoke. "Boys, what are you doing?" Both boys jumped and started giggling again.  He sat up and said, "How bout we go downstairs and start breakfast, then you can wake Mama up when it is ready.
It wasn't long before Logan and the boys were joined by Karson. Before Logan could send the boys to wake Rory, she came down the stairs and went straight for the coffee pot. Logan stopped her with a kiss and a cup of coffee.  Both boys' "yuk" Everyone laughed.
After eating breakfast and helping to get the boys ready, Karson left to meet Savanna.  Logan, Rory and the twins left to meet Steph and Andrew at the entrance of the Zoo.  Logan and gang were sitting on the bench in front of the zoo when Andrew came running with Steph trailing behind.
Andy "Will, Chris, we go see the animals." The twins and Andy begin to talk about their favorite animal at the zoo. Logan and Rory greeted Steph, then Logan turned around and called Andy. "Now that you have new friends, have you forgotten about me?" Andy laughed "Uncle Ogan, I not forget you" He ran to Logan and gave him a big hug.  Will and Chris just looked at each other. Rory swears they can talk to each other without talking.
The kids had a good time at the zoo. The adults enjoyed watching the kids have fun.  The twins and Andy are becoming fast friends. After the zoo, Collin joined them for a picnic and a ride on the carousel.   
Sunday Logan, Colin and Finn babysat while Rory, Steph, Karson and Savanna went shopping. Late afternoon, Rory and the boys headed back to Hartford. School will be starting soon. Rory wants to get the twins in a regular routine. They have not been on a schedule the whole summer.
