Chapter 45-Reception

The wedding party took pictures. Logan took pictures with the wedding party earlier. The pictures didn't take too long. Rory had a list, and she knew what she wanted. Besides, the twins were getting tired. They took a nap, but it was short.

When they arrived at the Dragonfly, they entered and the DJ announced everyone. Each couple had a different routine as they were announced. Finn and Lanes were the funniest. They entered with Lane on Finn's shoulders, with Finn having to duck to keep from hitting Lane's head. This causes Lane to shift and fall off, with Finn catching her before she hits the ground.

After they announced Mr. and Mrs. Huntzburger, Christopher tapped his glass to get everyone's attention. "On behalf of Myself, Lorelai and Luke we welcome everyone to take their seats. Entrees will be served momentarily. Everyone took their seats. Logan and Rory were in the center of the table, with Christopher, Luke, and Lorelai next to Rory and Mitchum, Honor, and Josh on the other side. The boys were with Lane and Dave.

Everyone enjoyed the Chicken, Steak, or Seafood. When Logan and Rory were finished eating, they moved to the cakes. The photographer had them pose several ways before they actually cut the cake. Logan attempted to shove it in Rory's face, but she was not having it. The servers took the cake to the kitchen to cut and serve, saving the top for the first anniversary.

The DJ announced it was time for the Bride and Groom to dance. Logan stood up and offered his hand to Rory. She took his hand. As they walked to the dance floor, Rory whispered. "I didn't get around to picking out a song." Logan winked at her as 'Moon River' started playing. Logan held her tight, and they danced. They both lost themselves in each other and the song. They barely noticed when others joined them on the dance floor. As the song ends, the DJ announces the Father/Daughter Dance. Rory danced with Christopher while Luke danced with April. The next song Luke danced with Rory while Christopher danced with Gigi. Mitchum and Honor danced as well as Dave and Cindy. Well, Dave carried Cindy; she was just about asleep. She had been looking forward to dancing with the daddy.

They skipped the Mother/Son dance. They did not want to bring attention to the fact that Shira was not there. Not many people asked about her. Most knew that she didn't like Rory. The others knew that she was in the hospital.

After a few more dances, Karson took the twins and Cindy upstairs to put them to bed. Luke was coming up after they were asleep to let Karson return to the party. She had a date. Luke wanted to watch a ball game. Rory was sure Luke would have stayed, but he wanted Karson to have a good time also.

As the music died down, Christopher stood up on the stage. He cleared his throat. "Hello, I'm Rory's dad, Christopher Hayden. On behalf of her mother Lorelai and her stepfather Luke, as well as her twins, Will and Chris, we would like to thank you all for coming to Rory and Logan's wedding. I first met Logan when he and Rory were still in college. I remember talking with him and thinking how he reminded me of myself when I was younger. It surprised Rory as well as Logan and myself, that Logan and I had a lot in common. Since the first time I met him, I've always known that he loves Rory very much. The way they look at each other, it's pretty obvious. I just want to say that I wish you nothing but the best."

Lane takes the platform next, "Hi, I'm Lane, Rory's best friend and her Matron of Honor. So, I've known Rory since we were both five. We have been through a lot together throughout the years. She has always been there for me. We even both had twins. She was there for me, and I was there to tell her what to expect." There was laughter from the crowd. "So, anyway, Logan Congratulations. I'm glad that you and Rory get that second chance. To Rory and Logan." Lane raises her glass.

Collin and Finn stood up to go to the platform. "Please tell me that Finn is not drunk" Rory whispered. "No, he is not," Barry answered. "He is just putting on a show." This was something Finn did. Everyone looked at him as a drunk. Finn is smart and has a head for business. The show he puts on is something he started in college.

"Hello, I'm Collin and this is Finn. We have been best friends since we were kids. We have been his right hand through a lot of trouble that we would get into. Growing up none of us thought that Logan would get married of his own free will. But I have to say that I'm glad that Logan met Rory. She is the first and last love of Logan's life. Rory, we love you," "What he said," Finn said as he winked at Rory.

Lane again took the microphone. "Okay guys and girls, let's party like we are twenty." Everyone laughed as the DJ started the music back up with 'Jukebox Hero'. Everyone grabbed a partner and started dancing. Rory danced with Collin, Finn, Robert, Josh, Mitchum, and then Logan. "I was beginning to believe that you were a figment of my imagination. The vanishing bride." Logan said with a laugh. 'Endless Love' started playing and Logan held Rory tight. Rory put her head on his chest as they danced along with the music. "Logan" "Yeah Ace" "I want a honeymoon baby" Logan stopped dancing and held her back away from him so he could see her face. "Yeah?" "Yeah!" Logan just grinned and pulled her to him and kissed her, forgetting that they were on the dance floor in front of all their guests. When they came up for air Logan asked. "So, what will we have to do?" Rory held her head back and looked at him. "What do you mean?" "Well, you are on birth control, don't you need to see a doctor come off?" Logan, I have not been on any birth control since the ectopic pregnancy. The only birth control we have used is condoms." Logan stopped dancing and led Rory to the table. He sat down and she sat in his lap. "So, you are telling me that all we have to do is not use a condom?" "Pretty much. With my age and me having twins, they may move me to the high-risk category. But other than that, we are good to go." "High risk? Does that mean you getting pregnant would put you in danger? Because if that is the case, I don't want to do anything that will put it at risk." "Logan, don't worry about it. Let's just enjoy ourselves and if we get pregnant then so be it." Rory said as she put her head on Logan's shoulder. "Honeymoon baby? That does sound nice" Logan said.

Lorelai walked up "Who's having a baby?" "Mom, please, not so loud. We were just talking. I'm not pregnant. Yet" "Oh, oh, so you want to be pregnant? I am putting my order in for a girl." Lorelai said. "Mom, I don't think it works that way." "Yes, it does, I have read some books on the subject. You need to get one." Logan and Rory laughed. If only her mother would act like an adult.
