Chapter 112 Making a plan

Monday morning started another week. Logan explained to Rory Sunday night most of what Dillon and Ryan discovered. Rory called Ronnie to let her know what was going on. Logan offered to hire a security team for them. James refused. He knows a few people from his military days that would do the job. Ronnie was worried about Ricky. Rory promised to have Ricky call her. Logan and Rory both agreed that the boys would not return to school. The School year will be ending in a few weeks. Rory is going to call the headmaster this morning to explain the situation. Logan suggested not to tell the headmaster anything other than due to a family emergency the boys would not be returning to school.

Logan talked with Honor and Cynthia. To keep the boys entertained it was decided that they would visit Cynthia one day this week and Honor another.

The rest of the week progressed. Logan spent a couple of days in the office, usually the one that Rory took the boys to Cynthia or Honor's. The rest of the time was spent at home working. With extra security, Logan also arranged for a driver for Rory and the boys. He did not want Rory driving. This far along in the pregnancy, plus no one could pinpoint who was behind the poisoning. Logan was worrying himself sick. He was sure he had an ulcer. He wanted to suggest they go to Martha's Vineyard to stay until they find whomever, but that would put Rory too far away from her doctors and a hospital. He thought about taking her to Maine, But that also was too far away. All he could do was hope Dillon and Ryan made some progress.

Friday morning, Rory was headed to the Huntzburger Manor. Cynthia arranged for a party company to come in and set up bounce houses and blow-up slides to entertain them. Wednesday Honor had arranged pony rides. The boys were spoiled. At this point she didn't care, they were safe.

After lunch, Cynthia set the boys up with a movie and popcorn and told Rory to go take a nap. She would watch the movie with the boys. Rory went up to Logan's old room and crawled in the bed. That is where Logan found her when he got there. Mitchum called Logan after he came home from playing golf, to tell him that there would be a family BBQ tonight at his house. So when Logan left work he went to the Huntzburge Manor.

Honor's boys, along with Will, Chris and Jessi enjoyed the blow-up playground Cynthia rented for them. When Honor and Josh showed up, Mitchum was grilling steaks, and hotdogs, Cynthia was sitting on the patio, watching the kids and talking to Mitchum. "Hey, there's my girl," Mitchum said as Honor walked onto the patio. "Hey, daddy," Honor said, kissing him on the cheek. Mitchum was happy. Why couldn't he have figured this out sooner? "Where's Rory?" Honor asked. "I sent her to take a nap after lunch while the boys and I watched a movie," Cynthia said. "Is Logan still at the office?" Honor asked. "No, I believe he went to wake Rory up," Mitchum said looking at his watch, "About 45 minutes ago."

Honor turned around, "I'll go get them, he probably fell asleep" Honor said. Josh grabbed her arm. "Maybe asleep, maybe not," Josh said. "Ew, no, that is something I don't want to think about." "I would guess it is probably something you don't want to see either," Josh said. "What doesn't Honor want to see," Logan said and he and Rory stepped out onto the patio. "You and Rory having sex," Mitchum said. Logan looked at Honor, then Mitchum, "Just for the record, I don't her to see me and Rory having sex either, nor do I want to see her and Josh or think about it. Just so everyone understands. I have no desire to see or think about anyone having sex other than me and Ace." "I agree," Rory said as she grabbed a water bottle off the bar cart.

Karson and Ricky showed up before they sat down to eat. Everyone enjoyed the time spent at the Huntzburger Manor, Mema was a big hit. After eating they sat on the patio talking with the kids played in the yard. Logan, Josh, and Mitchum were talking at one table, while Honor, Cynthia, and Rory were looking up baby outfits on Cynthia's laptop.

Mitchum asked Logan if he had heard from Dillon or Ryan. Logan told him they both were in Florida. They had several leads to run down. Nothing promising right now. "I have worried myself into an ulcer, I believe," Logan said. I thought about taking them to Martha's Vineyard or maybe even the house in Maine. But that would be too far from Rory's doctors." Mitchum could tell Logan was worried. They sat there for a few minutes. "Logan, I have an idea," Mitchum said."I'm listening." Logan said. "Take them to New York." Logan looked at Mitchum. "Rory's doctor," Logan said. "Listen, her friend Paris, doesn't she have an office in New York. Rory could have her records transferred to a doctor in New York. She could see the doctor in New York and hopefully, this will be over before she has the baby." Logan sat there thinking. But Mitchum was not finished yet. "You can move into my apartment. The security in my building is better than the one in your building. It also has an indoor pool that is open year-round. Bring Karson and Ricky. There is plenty of room. That apartment even has a nanny suite. You could see if Evelyn could be interested in staying in New York for a couple of weeks." Logan was thinking, he had not said anything, he was processing. He turned around to look at Rory. He thought they were still internet shopping, but they had been listening. "If you think it will be safer and will ease your mind, I will be willing," Rory said. Logan nodded his head. "What about your baby shower in a couple of weeks?" Logan asked. "Staying in New York doesn't mean you are going to chain her to the bed and not let her leave. The shower is on a Saturday. She can drive down Saturday morning or Friday night." Honor said.

Logan sits back in his chair. He was going over the layout of the apartment. "Dad, when was the last time you were in that apartment?" "It was probably before Christmas. Rory, Honor, You too Cynthia come over here. Cynthia get a pad and pen, we need to make plans.

Before they headed home Friday night, it had been decided that they would move to New York temporarily. Honor would start in the morning ordering twin beds for the boys, she would contract someone to move some of the furniture out and replace it with something more livable. With the right push in the right direction, They could be moving in by Wednesday of this week. Everyone agrees that the story that would be told is Honor and her family would spend most of the summer in New York because of Josh's work. They are also going to drop hints that Logan and his family would be in London most of the summer, the rest in Maine. Very few people would know where the family is located until they can catch whoever is threatening them.

Now that they had a plan, Rory had to decide what to tell Lorelai. She was sure this would not go over well with her.
