Chapter 1-Background Information
Unfortunately, I do NOT own any part of the Gilmore Girls. I do own my Billy, Melissa, Tia, Will, Chris, Louie, Karson, Savanna, Ms. Lewis, Jamie, Ashleigh, Cindy, Joshua, Samuel, and any other characters that came out of my imagination.
Rory and Logan meet one day in August 2021 in a coffee shop in New York City. There will be drama, but not Rogan drama. They will have to deal with the ups and downs of meeting and reuniting. The end game is always Rogan.
The following is background information for the story ahead. Basically-what happened during the twelve years between the proposal and the meeting in New York.
Lorelai "Rory" Leigh Gilmore Hayden Greene-36 years old (October 8, 1984) divorced 2 years Divorce (June 2009-January 2019) from Richard William "Billy" Greene. 40 years old. They have twin boys 4 years old. Born July 12, 2017, Richard Christopher "Chris" and William Lukus "Will" Greene. Rory and Billy were married for over 9 years and lived in Jacksonville Fl. Rory is the author of "Gilmore Girls series". While they were married, she helped manage the Greene Charter-Aircraft, Limo, and Yacht. Billy is CEO of the family company as well as a pilot. Rory and Billy met while she was on the Obama Campaign Trail at a birthday party thrown by her friends on the Obama bus. His company was the planes and limos used during the Campaign Trial.
Karson 20 yr. old College student that lives with Rory and the Twins as a part-time nanny. Rory looks to Karson as a daughter. She is friends with her mother.
Rory's Grandpa passed (2010) before the boys were born and Rory's Grandma passed (2018) before Rory and Billy divorced. Rory and her mother Lorelai Victoria Gilmore Danes split the Gilmore fortune and Rory's inheritance includes half the Gilmore fortune, the trust fund that her Gran set up, 1/3rd of the Hayden fortune, the money from the sale of Gilmore International Insurance, the Gilmore residence in Hartford with all the furniture. Rory remodeled the Gilmore house after her Grandma died to be more child-friendly. She and Billy agreed to be friends for the boys. She set up the pool house as an office for her. Billy stays in the pool house when he is in the area so he can spend time with the boys. Rory also owns stock in Greene Charters and receives monthly dividends along with child support. Her network including the Gilmore House is around $115.5 Million. This does not include the money from the book series.
Lorelai l Victoria Gilmore Danes still owns the DragonFly and Luke still owns the Dinner. The crap shack has been remodeled to include a media room and extra bedrooms for the family. Lorelai inherited the compound in Nantucket along with ½ the Gilmore fortune.
Luke still owns the Diner. Lane manages the Diner for Luke, so he does not have to be there all the time. Both of Lane's boys work there after school and during the summer.
April and her husband Jamie and their daughter Ashleigh 18 months- April and Jamie both work in Atlanta at the CDC as researchers. They have been married for 3 yrs.
Lane and Zack divorced when the twins were still babies. Steve and Kwan are12 years. She is now married to Dave. They have a daughter Cindy. She is 4 yrs. Old.
Dave and Lane open a music store in Stars Hollow. Dave runs the music store. Dave and Lane are happy. Dave has a trust fund, so they don't have to worry about money, but they enjoy the small-town living.
Zack moved to Bridgeport after the divorce and rarely see the boys.
Mitchum and Shira are divorced. Shira lives in Hartford in the Huntzburger Manor. She has a "Life Estate" She is allowed to live in the house with all the servants until she remarries or dies. Elis left the house to Logan and Honor. Shira is given an allowance controlled by Logan and Honor. Mitchum has an apartment in New York as well as Hartford, London, and a house on Martha's Vineyard. His primary residence is in New York he is semi-retired.
Christopher Hayden made a better father to Gigi than he was to Rory. He tried but he was just too young. He is a wonderful Grandpa. He and Gigi visit Rory is a big part of Rory and the Twin's lives. Christopher moved into his mother's house in Hartford. Hayden Manor.
Gigi, Rory's sister is 17 years old. She is a "little spoiled" Christopher is responsible for that. Rory helped a little. She goes to Chilton and has applied to Yale, Oxford, and Princeton.
Sherry, Gigi's mother left her with Christopher and rarely visits. After Gigi got older, she would spend time in France with Sherry, but she would much rather hang out with her friends in Hartford and New York.
Honor is married to Josh Chase. Josh is a lawyer with his family firm. He works out of the offices in Hartford. Honor is verified by Instagram and Twitter. She is also CEO of the Huntzburger Foundation. They have 2 boys, Joshua 7yrs old, and Samuel 3 yrs. old.
Finn oversees the United States branch of the Morgan Hotel Chain. He is based out of New York but has suites in all the Morgan Hotels.
Collin is a Lawyer with his family Firm. He and Stephanie are married with 1 boy, Andrew "Andy" McCrae. He is 4 years old. Stephanie owns a small clothing boutique on 5th avenue. They live in New York.
Rory stayed friends with Finn, Collin, Juliet, and Stephanie, after Graduation along with Paris, and Lane.
Paris and Doyle are married. He is Chief Editor at the Hartford Courant. Paris runs her own fertility clinic. She has offices in Hartford and New York. They have 2 children. A boy 5 Tommy and a Girl 7 Gabby.
Juliet is married to Finance Banker Chason Williams. They live in New York. Juliet is a fashion consultant. Her office is also in New York.
Now for Logan-Logan Elis Huntzburger-40 years old. (April 1981) He went to California when Rory turned down his proposal at her graduation. After spending some time horsing around in Vegas with Collin and Finn, he dug in and started to work. He dates occasionally but nothing steady. After building up his tech company in California he sold it for $6.9 Billion. He then headed back to New York to try to save Huntzburger Publishing Group. A member of the Board called him during the pre-sale meetings of "Acerogan Technology Inc." and told him that HPG was in trouble and needed him to come back to help modernize the group. After several long meetings with the Board as well as Mitchum, Logan agreed to come back as CEO of Huntzburger Publishing Group. Logan also inherited most of Elis's fortune including houses all over the world. Elis passed away after Honor had Joshua.
Now that you are up to date on the Background, I can start the story. Lots of Reviews will help. I am going to wait to start publishing after I have several chapters written.
