Rory invited Christopher and Gigi over to watch a movie with her and the boys. Really, she wanted to find out what happened with Louie. This was as good a time as any. Logan was in California on Shira duty, and she just visited her mom and Luke earlier this week.

Gigi showed up right after lunch. She told Rory that Christopher had a phone call to make and then he would be here. Karson came out of the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn and two tubs of ice cream. The girls sat on the sofa, each with a spoon and a coke. Rory pulled up Netflix and chose 'One Tree Hill' to play in the background as they talked.

Everyone got comfortable. Rory looked at Gigi. "Oh, tell us what happened with Louie G. You and Louie have been dating since middle school. What happened?" "Well, his dad is sending him to Andover. He is going to boarding school. His dad will be traveling all next year. Mostly in Asia. His company has some big project that he is overseeing, and he will be gone most of the rest of the year." Gigi said. ''he told me he thought it would be best not to have a steady girlfriend while he was at Andover. He wants to be free to date and he wants me to be free to have fun. He doesn't want me waiting at home for him to call or not go to a party because he isn't here. The thing about it is I agree. I don't want to sit at home. I am not looking for a boyfriend, but I still want to go out and have fun. I am 16 years old. I'm a Junior, I skipped a grade, so I am the youngest in my class, but sometimes I feel like I am mature." Gigi looked sad, but she didn't look upset.

Christopher was standing in the doorway. He didn't mean to eavesdrop, but when he heard her talking, he just stayed there. "I think, '' Christopher stated as everyone turned to look at him standing in the doorway. "That he is doing you a favor. Not that anyone asked my opinion. Do you mind if I join you?" The girls said "sure" have a seat "It's girl talk, you sure you want to stay?" Christopher laughed. "If it starts to get uncomfortable I will leave. I have two daughters; you can't scare me. That was not a challenge." They all laughed.

They talked about the baby, the nursery. They talked about Logan and the situation with Shira. They talked about Mitchum and Logan's half-sister Jessi. Gigi asked Christopher. "Dad, is it possible that Rory and I have a half-sibling out there somewhere?" Christopher looked at her "I guess it is possible, I mean you girls know how half-siblings get here and I am not going to tell you that I have been a saint, but to my knowledge, I only have two girls and they are sitting here with me tonight."

They were talking about Rory's book tour. Karson was telling them that she would only be taking online courses the semester that Rory would be touring. They were still discussing whether Karson would travel with Rory and the baby or if she would stay home with the twins. Christopher suggested that Rory hire an assistant for the time she would be on tour. Rory started laughing. "What is so funny about hiring an assistant," Christopher asked. "Mom and I fought the other day because I am hiring a full-time nanny when the baby is born. I am keeping Karson on as a part-time nanny. I am also hiring a full-time cook/maid. Ms. Lewis is retiring before the baby is born." "I'm guessing Lorelai didn't like that." "Nope, we are okay now. I explained to her that I needed help with the baby, and I wanted to still spend time with the boys as well as my husband. I think what finally made her understand is that I pointed out that she had help raising me. I just wasn't a nanny; it was a town." Everyone was laughing picturing the town Rory was raised in.

They were back from their playdate and ready to eat. Rory took a survey to see what everyone wanted. She was about to call to order when her phone rang. It was Logan. "Hey babe, is everything okay in California?" "I miss you too. Hold on just a minute. Karson ordered the food. You know what the boys will eat. I'm going to take this call in the office." She walked out of the room as Karson was calling for takeout.
