Rory called Logan after she put Chris and Will to bed. It was late, she told Logan that it was too late for him to come over. They agreed to meet up after Rory met with her editor and before she met the boys and her parents. They talked on the phone for almost 2 hours. It was so easy for them to talk, just like old times. Logan told her about his time in California and the company he built. She asked questions, like where did the name ACEROGAN come from. He laughed and told her just where she thinks it did. She told him about her boys and her marriage. He laughed at the adventures that she had on the campaign trail and the adventures of flying with Billy. Logan asked what happened, she just told him not now, we will talk later. They discussed Finn, Collin, Stephanie, Juliet. He didn't realize that they were still in touch. She said, "I guess it was taboo to mention either of our names". Logan just "Humm, yeah guess so." It was after midnight and both had to get up early. Rory promised to call as soon as the meeting was over. Logan agreed he would move his afternoon meetings around.

After Rory hung up with Logan and checked on the boys, she crawled in the bed. She was thinking over her conversation with Logan. She was thinking about how she hadn't felt like this in a long time. Even when things with Billy were good, she didn't have this feeling. She loves Billy, as her children's dad, but she is no longer in love with Billy. She hadn't been in love with him for a while. As she is drifting off to sleep, she remembers Billy telling her that he wasn't in love with her anymore. He wanted his freedom. She remembers the feeling of failure, the feeling of disappointment, the feeling of confusion. But she does not remember the feeling of loss. After much discussion, they agreed to a separation. At this point, they had no children. This was just 6 years into their marriage.

After being separated for a few months, Rory learned that Billy was involved with Melissa. She confronted him and he admitted that they were having an affair, but it was over. He begged her to try again. He flew them to Hawaii for a romantic week. They tried but Rory could not get the idea of him and Melissa together out of her head. When they returned, it was agreed that Rory would file for divorce. While waiting on the divorce to be filed, they were agreeably dividing the marital property, Rory discovers she was pregnant. She called her lawyer and was told that she needed to tell Billy and that the divorce would be put on hold until after the baby was born.

Billy was excited, he just knew this would be the thing that would pull them back together. Rory was not so sure. Billy moved back in with Rory, and they worked on making the marriage work for the baby. After Rory's 2nd sonogram she found out she was carrying twin boys. They stayed together for 2 years. After Emily died, Rory knew that life was too short to be in a marriage just for the boys. She filed for divorce and moved to Hartford. Rory had a hard time sleeping. She kept dreaming about Logan being the father to her boys.

Rory was awakened the next morning with two sweet boys snuggling up to her in bed. She smiled down. They must have crawled in bed with her after she went to sleep. She knew that the best thing to do was get a shower before they wake and then order room service. Luke and Lorelai are expected around 10. She needed to bathe both boys and feed them breakfast, not necessarily in that order. Her meeting with the editor is at 11:30.

After waking the boys, feeding them, and bathing them, she was sitting at the desk in the suite, while the boys watched PAW PALS on TV. She called her mother. She asked her mother if she and Luke could take the boys back to Stars Hollow after the zoo. She would pick them up there. Her mother wanted to know why. She told her she had another meeting after she met with the editor. Besides this would give them time with the boys. They have been gone most of the summer between staying with Billy in Florida and summer camps. Lorelai wasn't buying it, but she didn't ask any more questions. She knew Rory would tell her when she was ready.

Rory hurried around the suite, packing and getting everything together for her meeting. It wasn't long before Lorelai and Luke knocked on the door. After a round of kisses and hugs, Rory tells the boys to be good for Nana and Poppy at the zoo and to have a good time. As they are leaving Rory whispers to Lorelai "Will is the one with the red shirt, Chris is the one with the black shirt." Lorelai gave Rory one of those "drop dead" looks and told her "very funny". It was a long-running joke between mother and daughter. Lorelai got the boys mixed up when they were little and Rory refuses to let her forget.

As soon as the door closed, Rory started getting ready. She was looking through the clothes she brought with her, trying to decide what to wear. The meeting with her editor was just routine, it was the meeting with Logan that she is worried about. She couldn't help but hope that he still had feelings for her. She found out last night that he was not married, had never been married and he had no kids. He told her he was just a terrific uncle to Honor and Josh's kids.

After leaving her meeting with the editor, she called Logan. He told her to meet him at the coffee shop they met yesterday. She agreed. She was smiling on the way to the coffee shop in the cab. Don't be nervous, don't be nervous, but she couldn't quit smiling.
