The weeks passed by faster than Rory expected. Before she knew it, it was the week of the Sandlot Publishing Company Christmas Party and the HPG Christmas Party. Both parties are in New York. Rory and Logan left for New York Wednesday afternoon. They stopped in Stars Hollow to drop off the twins. The plan is for Karson to help with the boys in the afternoon or if Lorelai and Luke needed her any other time.

Rory and Logan get on the road to New York after leaving the boys. Rory asked Logan if there is any particular reason that they are driving instead of them taking the helicopter. Rory has gotten used to the helicopter. Logan explained that his dad needed it. "Besides, this gives us time to talk." Rory "well, let me get my wedding list out. "Logan laughed. Rory and her list. They went over the wedding list on the way to New York. Both making phone calls. Rory and Honor were meeting for the last fitting. She picked out a pale pink pants suit. The alterations are finished. She just needs to try it on one last time. Logan also had an appointment with the tailor for a new suit. Rory has already picked up the pale pink tie and the baby blue dress shirt. While Rory and Honor are out and about Friday, Rory needs to shop for Logan's wedding gift. She already purchased his Christmas Gift. She is having part of the basement remodeled with adult toys, a pool table, a poker table, and a bar. She wanted to get him cufflinks for his wedding present. She has been looking for an ace of hearts cufflinks. She talked with the manager at Tiffany's and Harry Winston. Both have her number and will call her or Honor when they find them.

They arrived at the underground parking for the penthouse apartment. Logan grabbed their bags, and Rory grabbed the garment bags with Logan's tux and a suit and her garment bag with her two gowns in it. The Sandlot Publishing party will not be as formal as the HPG party.

Steph, Collin, and Finn arrived at the penthouse shortly after Logan and Rory. They came prepared to have a good time. The group laughed and had lots of fun. Rory talked Steph into going with her to the spa Thursday so she will be ready for the Sandlot party. She is also going to help Rory get ready. They are all invited to the HPG party.

After everyone left, Rory went to the bathroom to start her nightly routine. When she emerged from the bathroom, Logan was sitting up on the bed with his reading glasses on his nose looking at his laptop. "I thought we were not going to worry about work while we are in New York. We both will have plenty of that at the parties." Logan looked up. How did he get so lucky to get a second chance with the girl, the woman that he has loved most of his adult life? He was smiling at her. He closed the laptop and put it on the nightstand. "Why do you think I was working? I could have been checking my Facebook page.?" He was smirking at her. He was really looking for a wedding present for her.

She crawled in bed and snuggled up to Logan. They have already face-timed the twins, so all was well with them. They could get a good night's sleep.

They had only been asleep for a short while when Logan's cell phone started ringing. Rory elbowed, "Logan answers your phone" before Logan could get the cell phone, the house phone started ringing. This time Logan jumped up to answer the phone, falling in the process of getting his feet hung in the comforter. "Logan, are you okay?" "Yes, stop laughing and answer the phone."

Rory "hello?" Female on the phone "May I speak with Logan?" "Sure, can I tell him who is calling at 3:30 in the morning?" Female on the phone, "no" Rory "okay, Logan there is a female on the phone that would like to speak with you but refuses to tell me who she is." Rory is not usually the jealous type, but something about this woman was not sitting right with her. Logan gets up off the floor and answers the phone, putting it on speaker. He wanted Rory to know he did not have any secrets from her. "Logan, this is Cynthia." Logan didn't say anything, just looked at Rory. "I'm sure Mitchum has told you about me." Rory rolled her eyes and laid back down on the bed. "I'm sorry Cynthia, Mitchum has not mentioned you to me. How can I help you at 1:37 in the morning? "Oh, I'm sorry. I was never good at figuring time differences. I would like to set up a meeting with you tomorrow. Say 10:30 at the Caffe Marchio at Union Square?" "I am sorry Cynthia; I do not know you and I am not interested in meeting you tomorrow or any other time. It is after 1:30 in the morning East Coast time. If you want to set up a meeting, call my office either in New York or Hartford, but do not call me on my personal cell or the house phone again." Logan was almost yelling. Why would someone call at this hour to set up a meeting?" Logan, it is in your and Mitchum's best interest to be at the Caffe Marchio at 10:30. I will be landing in the morning." Then she hung up the phone. Logan just looked at the phone then at Rory. "What do you think that is about?" Rory asked. Logan just shook his head. He didn't know. He turned the lamp back off as he climbed into bed. Rory snuggled up to him and she went fast to sleep. Logan lay in bed with Rory's head on his chest, wondering what could this be about?
