Chapter 48 One pink line or Two?

When Rory and Logan woke the next morning, they could smell bacon frying. "I didn't know Honor could cook," Rory said. "Yeah, she can cook enough to survive," Logan said as he got up to go to the bathroom. Rory grabbed her shorts off the floor and put on Logan's tee shirt and headed downstairs. "Honor, this smells good." "Rory hey, I hope you slept well?" Rory smiled, "yes we did. Is there anything I can do to help?" "No, I got this. But you can get the orange juice out of the fridge and pour us all a glass. I have started the coffee already." Rory did as she was asked.

Logan came down showered and ready for the day. "Smells good sis." "Well, thank you, little brother. Have a seat next to your bride. Eggs will be ready shortly." Rory was sitting at the bar in the kitchen, munching on the bacon and drinking coffee when Logan kissed her before he sat down. Honor brought the eggs to the bar and was just about to sit down when Rory jumped up and ran to the bathroom. When Logan realized what was happening, he took off after her.

Honor was sitting at the bar smiling and singing "I'm going to be an auntie again. I'm going to be an auntie again."

It wasn't too long before Logan helped Rory back upstairs to lay down. Logan came back downstairs in a few minutes and sat at the bar. "She made me come down here and eat. She is taking a shower." "Do you know what is wrong with her?" Honor asked with a grin on her lips. Logan was picking at his eggs "No, I thought she might have drunk too much wine last night, but I saw where she spilled it and tried to clean it up. Maybe her body is just tired. Christmas, then the wedding, Billy not coming to see the boys, and to top that off she is having to deal with Shira." Honor nodded her head. "So, you think she is just tired and stressed?" Honor was trying not to smile, but it was not working. She wanted to tell him what she thought but didn't know if it was a good idea or not. Rory may have an idea of what is wrong. She didn't want to spoil it for her. Logan nodded his head and looked up at Honor. When she saw him looking at her, she quickly started paying close attention to her toast.

"Honor, do you know what is wrong with Ace? Did she tell you something? Is she sick and doesn't want to worry me?" Logan was getting upset. "Hey, little brother, slow down. I have an idea of what could be wrong, but I will wait for Rory to come down to talk to both of you." "Talk to both of us about what?" Rory asked as she descended the stairs. "Hey babe, how are you feeling," Logan asked as he got up to meet her halfway. "I'm feeling much better. All the stress is making me sick, I guess." Rory said as she sat down at the bar. "Honor thinks she knows what is wrong with you," Logan says as Rory pushes her plate away. Rory looked up at Honor who was now standing on the other side of the bar. "Rory, Logan, is it possible that you are pregnant?" Logan went from looking at Honor to staring at Rory. "Ace?" "I thought about it. But if I am, it's too early to tell. I had my period around Christmas." "You know if you truly wanted to know, you could get a blood test." Honor said with a wide grin on her face. "Honor it's Sunday. The second day of January. This is a holiday weekend. If I did get a blood test it would have to be at a clinic, and I wouldn't be able to get the result immediately." "Ace, I'm sure a call to Paris will open doors." "Okay, this is what we are going to do. I am going upstairs to pack. You are going to call Jeffery and tell him we will be ready to leave in two hours. After I have everything packed, I will take Honor's hot rod to the drug store and get a pregnancy test. If it is negative, I will call Paris and have her call a doctor on the island. I will go see the doctor when we get to Hawaii." "And if it is positive?" Logan asked. "Then we will have more to celebrate than a marriage."

Rory gets up and heads upstairs. Logan is just sitting at the bar. Honor is grinning from ear to ear.

Rory returns to the house from the drug store. She has a bag full of tests. Logan and Honor were watching a movie, waiting for her to return. Rory heads to the bathroom and Logan follows. She shut the door on him. "Ace, let me in. I want to know." "Logan, I am peeing on a stick. We have to wait three minutes before the test is done. I will let you in after I have peed on a stick.

After a few minutes, Rory returned to Logan sitting on the edge of the bed. "How long do we wait?" "Three minutes. I want to talk to you about something while we wait. We are not telling anyone until after the first trimester. "Okay, but why?" Rory looked at Logan. "I'm not sure you will understand but let me try. When I found out I was pregnant with twins, at that time we only thought it was one, Billy and I told everyone. While I was still having morning sickness, we were given all kinds of advice. Everyone had a tale to tell. Billy and I didn't really get to enjoy knowing before everyone else knew." "Okay, I think I understand. I know that with Joshua, Honor, and Josh told everyone, but with Samuel, Honor was almost four months before she told. She said some of the same things you are saying. She and Josh wanted to enjoy the knowledge." "Good," Rory stood up and kissed Logan on the lips. "It's time." She started toward the bathroom and stopped. She was dizzy. She stood up too fast. She grabbed Logan's arm. "Woa Ace, you, okay?" "Yes, just dizzy. I think I got up too fast." "Well here, lay down. I will go get the test. I won't look at it until I bring it to you.

Logan walked out of the bathroom just a grinning. "You looked," Rory said. "No. I have not looked. I was just thinking. We may be going to have a baby. I am happier than I believe I have ever been." Rory took the test from Logan and turned it over. Two plus signs. They are pregnant. Rory looked at Logan who was looking at the plus signs. "Does this mean we are pregnant?" Rory nodded her head looking up at Logan and tears began to form in her eyes. She couldn't help it. She started sobbing. "Ace, Ace, what is wrong. Why are you crying." "These...are.... happy...tears. I ...just...hope this is right. I.... don't want....to be.... disappointed." Logan held Rory while she cried. "It's going to be alright. We will call Paris and have her make us a doctor's appointment for when we land in Hawaii. Wait, is it okay for you to fly?" Logan said. "Yes, I can fly up to 36 weeks domestically or 28 internationals. As long as I have a healthy pregnancy. I was married to a pilot, remember" They could hear Honor screaming downstairs.
