Chapter 26-Toronto

In the middle of the second week in December, Rory and Logan found themselves on the Huntzburger private jet on the way to Toronto with Mitchum, John, Karson, Chris, and Will. Chris and Will had been excused from school. The boys were excited, to say the least. Rory and Karson were looking forward to shopping at the Kensington Market. Rory was looking for unique gifts for Christmas. She and Logan have already wrapped most of the presents. Rory was looking for stocking stuffers for everyone. Logan promised to take her to the National Ballet of Canada. He purchased tickets for them and the head of the Toronto paper they are visiting. The boys had been promised a visit to Winterfest. They would be allowed to help decorate and bake cookies. There were so many things to see. Rory hoped that Logan would not work too hard. She wanted to enjoy Toronto with him.

Once they arrived, Logan and John were dropped off at the office. Rory, Mitchum, Karson, and the boys checked in to the penthouse suite at the Martin. Rory ordered lunch and then got the boys settled. Mitchum excused himself to go meet with Herman. After lunch, Rory called the driver to take them to Winterfest. She figured with the plane ride and the trip to Winterfest, they would be out for the count tonight. They would sleep well. Logan got back to the suite before Rory and the gang. Mitchum was already there. He and Logan discuss the business as well as the project that Herman wants Mitchum to look into. Logan was intrigued. Sounds like an interesting project.

The rest of the week passed with lots of excitement. They visited Winterfest again as well as the Kensington Market. As Promised, Logon took Rory to see the National Ballet of Canada. They soon found themselves at home in Hartford. Rory working in her office, Logan playing with the boys. Rory grabbed her coat and headed to the main house. She stopped at the door and watch Logan and the boys playing on the floor. They had everything strung out. She stood there and smiled. She was happy. After her divorce from Billy, Rory did not know how to make herself happy. She concentrated on the boys and their happiness. But now, she is happy. Logan noticed her standing there smiling. He wondered what she was thinking. "Ace" Rory looked over at Logan. He had both boys on his back. She smiled at him, yeah life couldn't get any better.
