Once Tommy and Paul arrived at the bank, Paul read off a check list to Tommy. "Let's make sure we have everything. Check? I.D.? "
"Yes, I have the check. I also have my I.D." "I remembered!"
Paul took that as a small accomplishment for Tommy .He took his hand and led him into the bank. "We'd like to open a savings account for our four daughters. They are minors so they don't have I.D's yet. I have their birth certificates and socials though." said Paul.
The account manager led them to her office and had them sit down.
Would you like to open one or four?" "I can cash the check and give you both the currency if you want to deposit cash."
Tommy talked it over with Paul for a few minutes before agreeing on four accounts. They filled out paperwork for each girl before depositing $2500 each. Tommy explained that there would be a second check coming soon for $5000 and he would deposit that also.
An hour later they walked out with four little account books. Taylor's was red, Aurora had the only pink one, Hannah's was blue and Mady's was yellow. Paul put them in the glove compartment and turned to Tommy. "I want you to keep the other check. I think you deserve it. I'll put the extra money in."
"No. I deserve nothing but more therapy and medication."
Paul refused to argue. He led Tommy to the restaurant across the street  and ordered him a glass of wine. "I'm going to treat you. Order whatever you want. NO monetary limits, got it?"
                              "Yes." sighed Tommy.
Tommy wasn't even hungry but he ordered a small salad anyway. Paul frowned and made Tommy look at him. "What's wrong, baby?" "Still feeling down?"
"I'm not hungry. I just want wine."
"If I order you something will you eat later?"
                              "Maybe."
Paul ordered himself a full meal and asked for some chocolate icing and strawberries. He hoped Tommy would at least eat those.
