Somehow as month seven rolled around, Tommy had more good days than bad. He was able to stay up longer and seemed to be healing. He asked Paul to take him shopping out of the blue. "Paul, I, um, want to go buy some, um.......well, special things."

Paul smirked at the blush on Tommy's cheeks. "Sure, give me a few minutes to get ready."

Tommy had managed to go almost a whole month without cutting or going into full-blown panic mode. He also wanted to go shopping for the triplets first birthday coming up in September. He knew Paul's was in December and Madyson was coming in July. He didn't care about his birthday much.

Finally Paul came down carrying his jacket and car keys. The triplets were at Bruce's house.

"I'm ready."

Paul asked Tommy if he wanted to drive but was told no. "I don't trust myself not to have a panic attack in traffic."

"That's fine. Let's go."

Paul helped Tommy into the car and pulled out. "Tom, I'm proud of you." "You've been so much happier lately. It makes me feel good."

Tommy smiled and squeezed Paul's hand. "I feel better." "I have my days, I  just try not to dwell on it too much. I realized I have to let go."

The drive to the mall was pleasant and stress free. Tommy still tired easily but he kept up with Paul.

At the end of the day, Tommy had two bags full and Paul had ten.

"So baby, do I get a sneak peek?" smirked Paul as he spied the logo on one of Tommy's bags.

"Does my baby daddy deserve it?" grinned Tommy. "I'll think about it."

"Ooh, I like that. You never called me daddy before. Well, not in public anyway."

Tommy went way out of his comfort zone and leaned in to nibble Paul's earlobe. He felt Paul's answer soon. "Maybe....."

The rest of the day went by in a blur. Tommy made good on his promise soon after the two of them arrived home.
