I'll Fight Hell to Hold You

Afterwards

Paul knew he and Tommy should have talked things over before becoming handsy. Now Tommy was drowsy and Paul had so many unanswered questions. As he lay beside Tommy, he got the idea in his head that he would talk to ....and find out his side of the story.

Getting up, Paul went to shower and head out. He tried to wait until Tommy was fully asleep. He called ....phone and left a message.

"Sure, I'll talk to you. I think you'll find some things very interesting." smirked the voice on the other end.

Paul wasn't sure if he liked the tone of that but he agreed to meet at one. He left Tommy a note saying he'd be back and he took Mady with him.

Holding Mady, Paul sat at a table and ordered water. He also ordered a small serving of mashed potatoes for Mady and a salad for himself. He was feeding the little girl when Tommy's ex sat down. He ordered and faced Paul. "I know you've probably only heard Tom's side so let me tell you mine."

Paul proceeded to listen, his phone being on record the whole time. He asked questions from time to time, carefully listening to the answers. He hoped Tommy didn't get mad at him for trying to find out the other side. He had his suspicions about how true the other story was.

When he got back home, Tommy took Mady without a word and carried her to the kitchen.  Turning around, he spit out, "You went to see ..... and interrogated him. He called me just now and told me." "If you think I'm still interested in him, go fuck yourself! I'm leaving tonight!"

Paul stood there with his mouth open. He knew he shouldn't have done it, but now he couldn't change it. "Tom, please wait." 

All he saw was the back of Tommy's head.
