In the shower, Paul let his mind wander. He had major concerns about Tommy, his newest daughter, Eric and Gene(especially Eric's pregnancy) and many other things.

While he showered he was overcome with a fear of losing Tommy for good. He knew his husband was going to have to have therapy and soon. Snapping out of his musings, he finished showering and turned the water off. Drying off, he thought he heard Tommy crying again. Listening for a few minutes, he dressed and headed back to the room.

Tommy was still asleep, tears running down his face  in his sleep. Paul reached out and wiped them away. "Tom, it's okay." "Sh."

"No!" cried Tommy in his sleep. "Don't take Mady! She's Paul's!" "No!" He kept crying and crying. Finally Paul had to shake him awake.

"Tom!"

Paul had to grab Tommy as he woke up tp keep him from getting out of bed. "Baby! No one's going to take Mady. Calm down."

He saw the look in Tommy's eyes as his husband fully  woke up. He held Tommy close until the tears stopped. "What makes you think someone's going to take Mady?"

"S-s-she's n-n-not perfect! T-t-there's s-s-something wrong with her! They're going to take her!"

"Who?" asked Paul in confusion. "There's nothing wrong with Mady."

"She's deaf like Rory! " "She's not  ever going to be able to hear!"

"Sweetheart, I can only hear out of one ear and I turned out alright." "Stop freaking out !" "We will teach her sign language like we are with Rory."

Tommy sniffled. He finally let Paul lay him back down. His eyes were swollen shut from crying. Paul gently sang to him until he went back to sleep.

He had no idea how to convince Tommy it wasn't his fault that both Aurora and Mady were deaf.
