November 7 came in with a freezing rain. The sleet hitting the window woke Paul up. He looked over to see Tommy curled up under the blanket. Getting out of bed, he quickly dressed and headed downstairs to start the fireplace. Once it was going, he headed to the kitchen to start breakfast.

"It's Tom's birthday. He's finally 28. I'm going to make it so special." Paul started making Tommy's favorite breakfast. By the time he was done it was snowing. "Wow, I hope everyone can come."

Paul was lucky that the presents he had ordered were already at the house. He just had to go get them from the garage. Walking in, he shrieked from the cold. "My God!" Paul opened the door to the inside so the garage would warm up.

"Da! Cold!" cried Taylor, her eyes round as she looked out the window. Hannah had joined her in the chair. Aurora was trying to climb up too. Mady was sitting up in her crib. Paul quickly took all four into the living room and changed them. He put fresh diapers on all four before bundling them into warm footed sleepers. Taking Mady and Aurora, he carried them into the kitchen. Taylor and Hannah toddled behind them. The two brunettes were chatting to each other while Aurora pointed at the snow and Mady was yawning. Paul put the sleepy baby in with Tommy and headed back downstairs.

Tommy felt a small hand on his arm so he opened his eyes a bit. He saw Mady watching him. Her big brown eyes were wide and her blonde curls were falling out of her ribbon. Sitting up, Tommy picked up Mady and carried her to the window. "Hello little one. " Tommy watched the snow fall with Mady.

"Hey, baby, Happy birthday. " said Paul from the doorway. He carried a huge plate over to his husband and took Mady. "I made you a birthday breakfast. " Kissing Tommy he waited for him to finish the food.

"If the snow doesn't get any worse, I have a special dinner planned later." "Oh, and when the garage thaws out, I'll go get your presents."

"The garage is frozen?"

"Not literally but it feels like an iceberg in there."

"We could warm it up." snickered Tommy.

"Uh, no, I think not." replied Paul. "Too cold to uh all night but.....we can later tonight."

He kissed Tommy and heard giggles. Taylor and Hannah were clapping as they watched.
