It was now April 17th and Tommy was getting ready. Paul had told him he would stay home with the girls since they were now crawling and moving around more. Tommy kissed all of them goodbye as he left.
At the doctor's office, he checked in and took a seat. Looking up briefly when the next patient came in, he saw his ex and the new wife. Trying not to not stare at their baby, he began to feel uncomfortable. "Please don't make me wait long." he said to himself.
"Aren't you going to speak to us?" asked Jaime. "That's rather rude , don't you think?"
"Hi, Jaime and Mrs. Jaime." said Tommy, feeling uncomfortable. He kept glancing at his phone to check the time. Finally he was called back and breathed a sigh of relief.
The visit was short this time. "It looks like the baby is healthy. You're gaining weight so I'll see you at your next visit."
Tommy avoided going through the waiting room and snuck out the back instead. He made it to his car and called Paul, almost crying.
He choked out what had happened and drove off. Jaime's baby had looked like Hannah except in male form. That threw Tommy in a tailspin.
