"Paul, I'm not sure you really want to go. Do you?" Tommy asked. "You only showed me the extra ticket when I asked if you were divorcing me." Tommy's hazel eyes filled with tears again. He was soon full on crying again.

Getting up, Paul walked around the table and pulled Tommy to his feet. He cupped his chin in his hand and made the younger man look at him. "Tom, I don't like golf much but I am willing to spend money on a golf trip because I know you enjoy it. " "If we were getting a divorce, it would have already happened." "I'm trying to make you feel happiness or joy, baby, but I don't know if you do. I hate seeing you cry so much. Tell me, if you can, what you want. " "I want you to be happy and smile again."

Tommy just kept crying. He was emotionally drained, feeling awful and suicidal at the same time. He knew Paul loved him but he couldn't make himself believe it. Finally he had no tears left. "C-c-could I go upstairs for awhile?" "I-I-I think I need sleep."

Paul carried him to their bedroom and laid him in bed. "I want you to sleep as long as you need. I'll come check on you in a few minutes." He waited until Tommy was asleep and started removing anything harmful. That also included anything Tommy could wrap around his neck. He locked them in the other bathroom.

Sitting on the bed, Paul slowly began to undress his husband. He immediately noticed the fresh scars and also how thin Tommy was. The only part of Tommy's body that hadn't been cut was his face and neck. Placing kisses on his husband's body, he took him in his arms. He fell asleep holding him.
