Even though Tommy was physically exhausted, he continued to try and get Paul away from him.  Paul, on the other hand, wasn't making much of an effort to fight back. He tried talking to his distraught husband. "Tom, if we can discuss this rationally, we can come to a conclusion."

Tommy refused to listen so Paul just got up and left. He left Tommy in the guestroom and headed down to the kitchen. He was going to call Gene to talk to him. "Gene, I need your help!" He told Gene what was going on and asked what he should do.

"First of all, do not get into any confrontation whatsoever." "Tom is unhinged right now and you need to be the calm, collected one." "I know he wants to help, BUT DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW TO LIVE WITH YOU!"

Paul tried telling Gene they went even to that point yet, but he couldn't get a word in. Finally he hung up.

Going back upstairs, he heard Tommy in the bathroom. The shower was running so Paul opened the bathroom door. The water was running full blast and Tommy was staring at it. He was still fully clothed and standing in front of the shower. He appeared to be in a trance. Reaching in, Paul turned off the water and picked Tommy up. He was shocked at how light his husband was.

Putting Tommy in bed, Paul undressed him down to his boxers so he could look him over. All he saw was a very thin version of his husband. He shook his head and laid down beside Tommy. "Tom, let me hold you." He could feel Tommy shaking.

"Baby, please talk to me." whispered Paul. "I love you so much." "I know you want to help your friend but we need to talk about it."

"Paul, she wants to marry me. I don't know how to deal with that." mumbled Tommy. "I told her I'm happily married but she says it doesn't matter." "I want to help her but I won't betray you."

Paul laid silently for awhile before speaking up. "Tom, we can help her but not like that. Having her live here would be horrible  for all of us." "You have such a big heart but sometimes that can lead to trouble."

Tommy turned and buried his face into Paul's shoulder. He could feel Paul's hands rubbing his back gently. "I couldn't deal with being married to another diva." he replied. "One's enough."

Paul shrieked good naturedly in mock horror. "Diva? Me?"

"Yes, you. Mr. Stanley, you are a diva." grinned Tommy. He knew that would get Paul started.

Paul lightly smacked Tommy on the rear as he pulled the covers over them.
