After celebrating the talking and standing of their daughter's , Paul noticed Tommy was pale. "Baby?" "Do you need to sit down? You're pale."

Tommy went to answer but suddenly sat down as a bad wave of nausea overcame him. He could feel Paul pick him up and lay him on the couch. "Paul?" he whispered. "Don't leave me."

Paul held Tommy's hand as he tried to steady his breathing. "Baby? Can you hear me?"

Tommy could hear Paul but he sounded like he was in a tunnel. trying to form words, he screamed as his stomach started cramping.

Paul grabbed his phone and dialed 911 while holding tightly to Tommy. He was in hysterics by the time the ambulance arrived. Gene and Eric were on their way home when they saw the ambulance in the driveway. Gene hit the sidewalk running while Eric dealt with the twins.

Paul was crying, trying to talk to the EMT's and Gene at the same time and holding Tommy.

"PAUL!" yelled Gene to get his attention. "Take a deep breath and tell us what happened."

Paul finally got it all out as the EMT hooked Tommy up to oxygen and started an I.V. when his husband opened his eyes, Paul wouldn't let him go. "Tom?! I thought I lost you."

Tommy stared wide-eyed at everyone until he could wrap his thoughts up enough to speak.

"Cramps! Hurt! Bad!" he whispered.

The ambulance carried Tommy to the hospital while Paul clung to Gene. After awhile, the eight of them headed to the hospital. Paul was still pale but able to focus better. Gene dropped Paul off and drove Eric home with all five babies. "I'll come back."

Paul ran inside and to Tommy. He refused to let go of his hand.
