Eric and Gene were talking about how they were going to get Tommy to go with Gene without drawing suspicion.
"Maybe I can tell him I need him to help me pick out a special present for Paul." said Gene. "He'd pretty much do anything to please Paul."
"Yeah, even give up his freedom." mumbled Eric.
"What?"
Eric explained what had been going on between the two. "Paul pretty much keeps Tommy on a short leash. He doesn't trust him since he found out Tommy cheated on him. Gives him a time limit and expects him to check in every hour. Stuff like that."
"Excuse me! Paul was cheating on Tommy too! He has a lot of nerve!" cried Gene. "I swear!"
The two of them talked about it until Gene came up with an idea. "I'll tell Tommy that we're going to go over some new ideas for costumes and we need his input."
Eric agreed and went to call Paul to tell him.
The three of them hoped it would be a surprise for Tommy. All of them had noticed that Tommy was seriously depressed at the moment.
